Nomadic is the community platform for on and off the road. Vans and RVs, overland rigs, full-timers, weekenders, and every kind of road-dweller stitching together long stretches between trailheads. The map, the tools, and the people, all in one place. Safety threaded through everything.
FIND YOUR SPOT
A map of millions of waypoints: dispersed camping, established campgrounds, trailheads, water sources, dump stations, dog parks, hot springs, the lot. Public land data from BLM, USFS, NPS, USFW, and community grown waypoints. The travelers keep it honest with field notes, photos, and hazard warnings. Filter for dog-friendly, water-safety status, public land only, or down to cell signal and shade.
Toggle on the federal land overlay to see BLM yellow, USFS green, NPS purple, and USFW orange at a glance. The authoritative public-land map, free for every account.
Save spots, build Routes, and download offline regions before you lose bars. The whole waypoint dataset mirrors to your phone, so you can pull up a campsite three valleys deep without a single signal bar.
TRAVEL TOGETHER
Convoy is for travelers headed the same direction. Post your bearing (where you're starting, where you're going, the rough window) and you'll see others on a similar arc. Loose, no commitment, just visibility on the road.
Travel Parties are for the group that wants to land in the same spot. Pick the destination, invite your people, attach routes and photos. Bring it together at a campsite or pull off the highway when plans drift.
Gatherings are the public version: host an event at a waypoint, set capacity, share the link. RSVPs, a waiver if you need one, and a way for travelers in the area to find good things happening nearby.
The Friends layer shows your crew's last check-in, so you know who's a county away versus a state away.
STAY SAFE
This is the part we won't compromise on, and the part you won't pay for. Set a check-in cadence and tag friends as your Safety Crew. Miss a check-in and they get a quiet push with your last known location and the waypoint you were at.
Beacons let you call for help, post a hazard, or ask travelers nearby to come join you. The safety types (help, alert, come join) are free on every account, always. Lost a dog? Open a Lost Pet alert and the surrounding community can help you search.
Wi-Fi sharing, water-hazard reports, pet-hazard reports, arrival pings. Every safety surface is on the free tier. Always.
REAL CONTRIBUTIONS, REAL STANDING
Earn Merit for what actually helps the community: accurate waypoints, honest field notes, helping a traveler in need. Merit moves you up the Nomad Tiers from Flint to Obsidian. Hit Obsidian and Nomad Pass becomes lifetime. No subscription, ever.
Verify your ID once to become a Trusted Traveler. Female travelers can vouch each other into the women-only safety layer with a three-person consent gate.
FIELD TOOLS
Level, Compass, Solar Arc: Sun Tracker, Altimeter, Storm Watch. The on-rig basics for siting a camp, reading the wind, watching weather come in. Offline a available.
PETS ARE FIRST CLASS
Profile your companions, mark their species, log memories of their favorite trails. Dog-safety data, water-toxicity warnings, and pet-friendly filtering are baked into the map, not bolted on.
THE MARKET AND SKILLS
Handmade things from the rig (jewelry, pottery, prints, candles etc) post to your Market. Services (mechanical help on a flat, photography, flash tattoos, the kind of help you'd ask a friend in a rig for) post to your Skills. Browse what's nearby. Thrift for clothing, or finally sell that jacket you've been holding for the right person.
NOMAD PASS
The free tier covers the whole promise: every safety tool, the full map, browsing every social surface. Pass unlocks hosting features at scale.
A quieter map and a warmer Crew.
The map stays put when you scroll between cities, offline waypoints download cleanly across the whole country, and field notes from the road now surface on profiles for the first time. First-time travelers get a softer landing toward people they share ground with.
Plus a long tail of small fixes from community reports. Thank you for the careful eyes on the road. Drive safe out there.
