SafeCam Pro now includes a redesigned floating protection strip for faster control during video calls. New in this version: • Floating split protection strip The floating control now has two sides: one side shows your current protection status, and the other side lets you trigger your selected protection action instantly. • Blackout Now from the floating strip You can now cover the SafeCam feed without opening the main SafeCam Pro window. Click Blackout Now from the floating strip to cover the feed immediately. • Double-click to come back safely Double-click the status side of the floating strip to refresh protection and return only when SafeCam Pro can safely confirm the trusted person. • Notch-safe top placement The floating strip is now designed for modern MacBook displays with a camera notch. It sits at the optimal top-center position with a blank center area so the notch does not cover the important words. • Clearer protection status SafeCam Pro now more clearly reports when the protected camera is active, idle, blacked out, or not currently selected by the video app. • Improved camera-switch safety When a video app switches away from SafeCam Pro and then back again, SafeCam Pro re-arms protection so stale Live state does not carry across camera changes. This update improves trusted-person recovery, lid and camera-angle protection, brief occlusion handling, and unsafe face/photo overlap protection. SafeCam Pro now better protects the output when you leave the frame, when recognition becomes unsafe, or when another face creates uncertainty near the trusted person. The floating protection status light now shows Protected — Idle when your video app sleeps instead of falsely showing Not Protected. This version also reduces the visible temporary clear-zone artifact while keeping SafeCam Pro’s privacy-first fallback behavior.
