Babio is a small, quiet diary for the first months with a new baby.
It does one thing well: it gets out of the way at 3 a.m. so you can log a feed, a diaper, or a weigh-in in a single tap and go back to whatever you were doing.
WHY BABIO
• Big tap targets. One screen, no menus inside menus.
• Designed for one-handed use while holding a baby.
• Quiet by default. No streaks, badges, or notifications you didn't ask for.
• No accounts. No subscriptions. No ads. No analytics. No third-party SDKs of any kind.
WHAT YOU CAN LOG
• Breastfeeds, with a side-aware timer that runs in the background and shows on your Lock Screen.
• Pumping sessions with side and millilitres.
• Bottle feeds, expressed or formula, with the amount.
• Diapers — pee, poo, or both.
• Sleep, with a start/stop timer and a quality score when it ends.
• Weight, with a clear growth chart over weeks or months.
SLEEP TRACKER
Start a timer when a nap begins, stop it when your baby wakes. Babio logs the duration on its own and asks for a quick quality score, so patterns show up later in Stats.
WHITE NOISE
A handful of built-in sounds — rain, static, a fan — for settling a baby back to sleep. Set a sleep timer so it fades out on its own. A minimized pill keeps play, pause, and the timer one tap away without leaving whatever screen you're on.
NIGHT MODE
A dark palette designed specifically for the screens you use at 3 a.m. — dim enough not to light up the room, legible enough to read at a glance without waking anyone up further.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your data stays on your device and in your own iCloud private database. Babio doesn't run a server. The developer cannot read what you log; nobody else can either. If you ever want your data elsewhere, a single tap exports the whole diary as a JSON file you can keep, share with a paediatrician, or restore on a new phone.
GENTLE REMINDERS
Optional, gentle nudges if it has been a while since the last feed, change, or weigh-in. You set the threshold; you can turn each one off independently. Off by default.
LIVE ACTIVITY TIMER
Start a breastfeed or pump timer in Babio and the running time appears on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, so you don't need to unlock your phone to know how long this side has been going.
IN YOUR LANGUAGE
The whole app — including notifications and the Lock Screen timer — is available in English, Português (Brasil), Español, 简体中文, हिन्दी, Français, العربية, বাংলা, Русский, اردو, and Bahasa Indonesia.
ACCESSIBILITY
Full VoiceOver support and Dynamic Type scaling across the app, tested at the largest accessibility text sizes.
WHAT IT WON'T DO
Babio doesn't offer sleep coaching, advice, or a community. It doesn't try to grow into a "baby platform." It is a tracking tool — small, fast, and quiet.
