App lock now asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode before it can be turned off. Book all sessions is now at the top of a club's dates. Surveys you have answered show your answers ticked. Needs you cards on the Calendar name only the children they are for. The row of children in Communications now fits the screen.

Home now asks about notifications with a card you can say Not now to, rather than a pop-up the moment you sign in. The Calendar's Needs you list matches Home's to-do list, including parents' evening bookings and club dates, and every upcoming event says which child it is for. A new Help and support page in your profile. Clearer messages if a sign-in code is wrong. Your children's photos on My details, and a prompt if the school has no phone number for an emergency contact.

What's new in this version - Each child's card on Home now tells you when you're all caught up, then shows what's coming next. - Parents' evening: if booking is open and you haven't booked, it appears in your To do until you do. Parents' evenings in the Calendar and in messages now open the booking page. - Report an absence: choose any of your children, report part of a day with From and To times, and give the date they're back at school. - If two of your children are on the same activity, it now shows once on each child's card. - Plus smaller fixes.

A fresh new look, built around your children. • Home now shows a card for each child, with the one thing that matters most: something to pay or sign, what is new, or what is coming up next. When there is nothing to do, it tells you what it checked. • Each child has their own page, with their to-do list, what is new since you last looked, their attendance this year and everything their school offers in one place. • Messages and news now live together in Communications. Filter by child or show only unread items, mark them all as read in one go, and find older messages more easily under This week, This half term and Last school year. • Parents' evening is simpler. Your appointments show as clear cards, and you can change a time, cancel, add it to your calendar or share it in a tap. • Attendance is clearer, with today's register on the Attendance page. • Trips and clubs now show only against the children going on them. • Paying by card no longer looks stuck, and your payment history is easier to read. • A photo is now optional when you report an absence. • All-day events stay on the calendar for the whole day. • Swipe from the left edge to go back, on every screen. • Better support for larger text and VoiceOver, and a tidier layout on iPad.

Paid clubs now show their price correctly and charge the right amount. Signing out stops notifications for that account on a shared phone. Fixes to Parents' Evening, attendance at secondary schools, trip payments and the notification bell.

New on the home screen • Timetable: see your child's school timetable for the week. • Exams: pupils with exam entries can now view their exam timetable. Shown where the school has switched it on. • Subject Options: when the school opens an options round, choose and submit your child's subjects from the app. Text size • The whole app now follows the text size you set on your iPhone, including the home screen widget and the attendance guidance page.
