SMS Vaga is the app for beekeepers who have an SMS Vaga indicator under the
hive. The scale measures and reports on its own, and you see the state of the
apiary on your phone — without driving out to it.
WHAT YOU SEE
• Hive weight: total, net and tare, plus the daily yield
• Temperature inside and around the hive, and air humidity
• Battery level and GSM signal strength
• Weekly yield, day by day, with a cut-off hour you choose yourself
• A chart of weight, temperature and humidity — by minute, hour or day
• A weather forecast for the spot the scale stands on, with a map
MOVEMENT PROTECTION
A scale with a position receiver remembers the spot it was set up on. If it
leaves that spot, it tells you how far away it is and shows it on the map. The
alarm radius and the checking interval are visible in the app, and locking a
new spot is a single button — you press it at the apiary once the scale has
been moved.
NOTIFICATIONS
What cannot wait reaches your phone: an evening report with weights and
temperatures, a sudden loss of weight, a target weight reached, a low battery,
a weak signal, an expiring SIM subscription and a scale that has been moved.
News and tips have their own switch, so you can turn them off and keep the
alerts.
SHARING A SCALE
You can hand a scale over to another beekeeper — create a code that lasts 7 or
30 days. Whoever enters it can only view the scale: no changing the tare, the
name, the settings or the location. They receive all notifications from that
scale, and you can see who has access and withdraw it at any time.
BLUETOOTH — SETTING UP THE SCALE CLOSE BY
When you are standing next to the scale you do not have to wait for a report.
Over Bluetooth you ask for a measurement, 30 days of history, the software
version or the current settings, and the answer appears at once. It works even
where there is no mobile network at the apiary.

The app needs an SMS Vaga indicator. Without the device there is nothing for
it to show.
