Saharan strategy board game

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

A 3,000-year-old Saharan board game, reborn. Play against AI, honour prayer times, and keep sessions intentional with a 45-minute daily limit. Zamma is a traditional North African and Saharan strategy board game — an ancestor of modern checkers, played on an Alquerque-style point-and-line board for over 3,000 years. Pieces sit on intersection points connected by lines. Regular pieces move forward; captures are mandatory and can happen in any direction. Reach the far row to promote to a Mullah, which moves any distance along any line. Features • Play against an AI opponent with three difficulty levels • Choose between the classic 5×5 board or the larger 9×9 board • Five languages: English, Arabic, Deutsch, Français, Português • Prayer time awareness — a gentle, optional reminder woven into the game loop • A 45-minute daily play limit to keep sessions intentional • Dark, glassmorphic interface designed for focus and calm • Works fully offline, no account required, no ads Zamma respects your attention and your tradition. A quiet, strategic companion for a cup of tea.
