We redesigned the entire photo recognition flow. Recognition progress is clearer, the results list is easier to scan, and item editing now focuses on name, quantity, unit, and storage area. Reviewing recognized food and adding it to your inventory is quicker and smoother.

Expired items now show how many days they have actually been stored, instead of asserting "expired N days ago." Shelf-life figures are often estimates, and stating an estimate that confidently makes people throw out food that is still fine. The red highlight, priority sorting and expiry reminders all stay. Snap a photo and items go straight into your fridge — you are no longer asked to set a shelf life for every single item. Adjust one in the item detail page and similar items follow suit next time. Shelf-life reference data now covers 117 common ingredients, with sensible per-category defaults, so condiments and leafy greens no longer get the same number. The home screen widget has been redesigned around your actual ingredients: it lays out their images so you can see what is in the fridge at a glance, and the recipe card tells you which ingredient it is helping you use up. New app icon.
