Lag putting needs work." "Par 3s averaged +1.2 — iron accuracy from the tee needs attention." "5 one-putts today — excellent close-range putting." The engine evaluates your putting (three-putts, one-putts), accuracy (fairways hit vs greens in regulation), scrambling, front/back nine splits, par 3 and par 5 scoring, and consecutive bogey streaks. It prioritizes what hurt your score most and balances it with what went well — so you always know what to practice next. Insights appear automatically in the scorecard detail view, right below your totals. No setup needed. HOLE MAP ON APPLE WATCH Your watch now shows a satellite-style hole map during the round. Swipe down from the distance view to see the current hole layout — tee, fairway, and green at a glance. The map automatically advances as you move through holes. This uses pre-rendered snapshots transferred from your iPhone at round start, so it works without cellular connectivity on your watch. Swipe navigation: left/right to change holes, up/down to switch between the map view, distance view, and end-round page. EDIT SHOTS DURING ACTIVE ROUND You can now tap into the shot map while a round is in progress and make corrections immediately — move a shot pin, change the club, add a missed shot, or reorder shots. Bug fixes and reliability improvements for Apple Watch users. • Auto hole detection: your Watch and iPhone now prompt "Move to Hole X?" when GPS detects you're near a tee box, keeping your scorecard in sync without manual navigation. • Fixed Watch showing 0 strokes/putts when navigating back to a previous hole. • Fixed Watch getting stuck on the saving spinner after ending a round. • Round end screen on Watch now auto-dismisses after 10 seconds. • Fixed an issue where ending a round could leave stale messages queued into the next round. Shot Map Editor Improvements Editing your shot map after a round is now much smoother. New shots are automatically placed in the correct sequence toward the green. A new Reorder Shots sheet lets you drag shots into any order. Tapping the map now shows a Cancel button so accidental taps don't add unwanted shots. Tapping Done with unsaved changes asks if you want to save before exiting. Apple Watch Club selection is now a full-screen scrollable list — tap any club to confirm instantly. A 15-second countdown auto-submits your selection if you forget. A cancel button lets you undo an accidental shot. The Watch now detects your swing automatically via the accelerometer and marks your shot without touching the screen. Round Controls The +stroke button has been replaced with dedicated Penalty and Undo buttons for faster, more accurate scoring on the course. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where dragging a shot pin would accidentally add a new shot on finger lift. Fixed map zoom resetting to world view after deleting a shot or exiting edit mode.
