Transcription happens on the device too.
In the normal mode, only the text needed for a summary or a rewrite is sent to AI. What is sent is never used to train AI.

Turn on "on-device only" and everything from transcription to saving stays on your device.
In this mode no text is sent anywhere. There are no AI summaries or rewrites, and what you said is saved as a plain transcript.
Transcription split by speaker still works in this mode.
