"Securely analyze, correct, and manage the metadata of your photos and documents. A local auditing tool to protect your privacy."
Take control of the invisible data in your files.
Every photo you take and every document you save contains technical information called "metadata": GPS coordinates of the shooting location, exact date and time, camera model, or author information.
MetadataReader is a professional digital investigation tool designed to analyze, modify, and export the DNA of your documents and photographs securely. Whether you're a photographer, journalist, legal professional, or simply privacy-conscious, MetadataReader gives you absolute control over the invisible data (EXIF, TIFF, GPS, IPTC) embedded in your files.
KEY FEATURES:
Transparent Analysis: Deep Analysis: Drag and drop any file (Image, Video, PDF) to instantly extract hundreds of hidden metadata fields (camera used, settings, editing software, actual creation date).
Geographic Visualization: If a photograph contains geographic coordinates, the application automatically displays the exact shooting location on an integrated interactive Apple Maps map.
Selective Correction and Editing: Is a date incorrect? Is an author name missing? Simply double-click on an authorized value to update, correct, or delete it individually, while preserving the rest of the file. Surgical Editing: Double-click on any data not locked by the system to modify or correct it.
Complete Anonymization: If you need to send a document confidentially, use the total erasure button. The application generates a copy purged of all metadata (Privacy by Design mode) ready to be shared.
Audit Reports: Export reading results as a text report (.txt). A major asset for organizing your documents or providing a status overview of an image's metadata.
SECURITY AND PRIVACY: 100% LOCAL Respect for your privacy is at the heart of this application. MetadataReader works completely offline on your device. None of your files are sent, analyzed, or stored on a remote server. Absolute Security (Sandboxing): Your original files are never altered. The software works in isolation and generates a clean copy as needed.
• macOS Integration (Depending on OS version): Compatible with native features (Drag-and-Drop, Finder "Open With" action, Drag thumbnail to export).
Share your files with full awareness.
