FocusedShrimp uses Apple Vision to watch how long you've actually been sitting. Not a timer. Not a guess. The camera sees you leave, sees you return, and knows the difference between standing at your desk and walking away for lunch.
Most break apps tell you "break in 12 minutes." FocusedShrimp tells you "you've been sitting for 1 h 23 m without a real break." That's the number that matters — and nobody else shows it.
HOW IT WORKS
Your built-in (or external) camera runs a lightweight on-device pose detector, 5 frames per second. No video is recorded. No image ever leaves your Mac. The menu bar icon updates in real time: while you sit, it shows your cumulative sit-since-break time; the moment you stand or step away, it starts counting your break progress toward the 5-minute qualifying threshold.
A qualifying break resets the counter. No qualifying break → the sitting bar turns red, the timeline records it honestly, and the weekly view shows you the percentage of sitting time that was overlong.

PRIVACY
FocusedShrimp holds App Store's No Data Collected badge. The Vision framework runs entirely in-process; nothing is uploaded, logged remotely, or shared. The camera permission is used only for on-device posture detection. Nothing leaves your Mac.
