Some updates (shaped by your feedback! keep it coming) to make it faster and easier to log your night: • One tap logs a dance from the board • Turn on auto-log and the dances you know from the community list get logged for you while your night is live • Sort your dances by Recent, Most danced or A to Z, with Recent grouped by week and month • Profiles show dances by level, just like your Dances tab. So it's easier to see what your friends are learning now.

Friends just landed on Walls, and we're squeezing in a few more improvements alongside it. • Open any bar from search to see what gets danced there, without leaving search. • Start a night from a bar's page, with the bar already picked for you. • Find bars other dancers have added that we haven't reviewed yet, right in search. • Submit a new bar from search in a few taps. • Scroll your badges with the back button always in reach. Friends are now on Walls! • Follow your friends and see their nights in your feed. • Applaud a night, and see who applauded. • Every friend has a profile: their nights, their dance lists, their 4 top of mind dances and their stats. Keep yours public or private; people ask to follow a private profile and you approve them. • Your profile has a QR code and a link. Show it to a friend at the bar and they can find you in seconds. • Find dancers you may know, search by name, and see when someone follows you or applauds a night. Also in this update: • Reorder the dances on a night you logged late, with drag handles. • Badges show up on your nights and recap cards, and you can tap one to see how it is earned. • Submit a private bar to make it public. • Faster, steadier loading on the Me tab and profile, and many small fixes.

Tap any badge to see what it's for. • See what your bar's dancers do most: when a song has more than one dance, the picker shows "Most danced here". • Search smarter: type a song name and we also suggest the dance your floor actually does to it. • Dance pages now show the dance's style, like phrased, partner or Catalan. • Logging Partner Dance? We now point you to the more specific partner dances you can search for. • Added a bar that's private? More updates shaped by dancer feedback. - Importing past nights from your notes takes less fixing and shows more detail, so you know you've got the right dance. Pick a bar for one night and every night with the same name gets offered it. Fix a dance once and you can apply it everywhere. - Your profile photo now fits the circle. Drag and pinch until it looks right. - Just getting started? The Me tab points you at adding your first dances.

We made lots of polish fixes and improvements: - It's easier than ever to request a dance we don't have, including finding its step sheet and song. - Smarter search: shorthand like "3tf" works. - Add bars outside the US. - Share a bar or a dance with a friend from a link. - Remove a dance from your list in one tap.

- Introducing the Community list: Logging a night just got faster. When you open a night at a bar, you'll see what other dancers have already logged there tonight. Simply tap a row to log it. - Start a night faster: The Start menu now shows your home bar and the other bars you go to most, with a note on why they're there (frequently logged, or your most recent night out). - More visible dance information in your flow: When you log a dance, the sheet shows key info like counts, walls, level and choreographer, so you're never guessing which one you picked.

Importing your dance list is much better. - Long lists now finish. Paste a whole year of notes and it comes back. - The review puts what needs your attention first: dances to double-check, dates or venues we couldn't match, then everything that matched. - Use the pencil on any dance to search our catalog and pick the right match yourself. - Nights that still need a date or a bar are listed first, and each one shows what your note said about where you were. We also made Recap cards download faster and fixed a few other minor bugs.

- The card that shows your streak now says where the run started and where it finished, so the strip reads as one story rather than a row of boxes. - The Me tab notices when something has changed. Earn a badge and it is there when you open the tab, instead of waiting for you to pull to refresh. - Badges you cannot earn no longer sit on your board. The board is for what is next, not for what you missed. - Importing your dances from a note is clearer about being an early feature, and reads a much longer list than it used to without giving up on it.

Every one of these improvements came from dancers telling us what got in the way on a real floor. Thank you, and please keep it coming. - A dance filed as Improver used to be shown as Intermediate, and an Absolute Beginner dance as Beginner, because the app sometimes folded five levels down to three. It does not any more. You see the level the choreographer actually gave it, everywhere in the app. - Your bar's dance list keeps your place. Open a dance to learn it, come back, and you are where you left off instead of at the top of the list. - Logging keeps your place too. Tap a song on the set list or the DJ queue and the list stays where it was, so you can work down a long night without finding your spot again every time. - A song you have logged now stays on the list, marked as logged, so the night still reads in the order it happened. - Log a run of songs at once from the live set list. Tap Select, tick everything you danced, and log them together, either as danced or as just played. - Adding a bar now asks for the state as well as the city, and offers a Private switch for somewhere that is not a public floor: your own place, a friend's, or a hall that is members only. A private floor shows up for you and for nobody else, and everything you log there still counts.

Your night recap is now a set of cards! Instead of a single card, you get a deck you swipe through: the dances you logged, how much of the night you spent on the floor, the difficulty spread, your streak, and the month you have had. Some cards only turn up when you earn them. Open a recap and you see the whole deck at once. Tap any card to view it full size, then share it or save it. New in the Me tab: a nights out calendar, with a flame on every night you logged this month.

- Search results are more informative. If a search can't reach us, you'll see "Search didn't go through" with a tap to retry. If we don't have the dance, you'll see "No match". Before, both looked like an empty list. - Support for adding a new dance even if we already have one with that name. - Punctuation doesn't hide a dance anymore. "mib" finds M.I.B., and "cant stop this" finds Can't Stop This. - Instructors can add or edit a shared set list for a bar night from the app. Tap the pencil on your row to change the dance or the song for everyone, name a dance we don't have yet, or remove a line that isn't a dance.

Danced it is now its own field when you log. So you can log a dance without having to dance it or set its status. Ne Your night now reads back in the order it happened, with Danced or not shown clearly on every row. Also in this update: - Not for me — a new status for the dances you log for completeness and have no intention of learning. They get their own tab in My Dances instead of sitting in your list looking unfinished. - Your recap clearly card leads with the dances you danced. - Bar scout, a new badge for putting a bar on the map once it's listed. - Partner Dance now says what it's for instead of showing one song picked at random. - Sharing a recap? There's now a nudge to tag us - @walls.dance on Instagram

The search box stays at the top of the screen when you log a dance. Typing a name used to scroll you to the bottom of the results, putting the closest match off the top of the screen and making you scroll back up for it. The frequency meter on a bar's dance list now always agrees with the ranking. This is now fixed.

See the night by night breakdown for your bar. Bar pages now list their logged nights, and each one opens to the full set list. When the DJ queue reports a song, you can now pick the dance behind it: confirm our match, choose another dance that plays to that song, search the catalog, or ask us to add one we're missing. Set your status on any dance you log, even one we haven't matched yet. Hide a played song from your night board if you missed it. Your Log tab now shows how many bars you've visited.

Add your bar yourself. If your floor isn't on Walls, put it there: a name, a city, and anything else you can tell us about when line dancing runs. It shows up the moment you add it. Other misc bug fixes: switching bars no longer shows the previous bar's dances on refresh, your night count on Log and Me now always agree, and the account screen layout is cleaner.

A new Me tab. Everything your nights add up to, in one place. Nights out, hours on the floor, dances you knew, and bars visited, plus your weekly streak, your most danced dance, a chart of your repertoire as it grows, and badges to work toward. See what's playing at the bar. When your venue's DJ app is connected, tonight's songs appear as you dance them. Tap one to log it without typing a thing. Redesigned recap cards. Every night you log gets a card built to share. Tell us what's missing. Ask us to add a dance we don't have, flag one that looks wrong, or send us feedback. All from inside the app. Quicker night logging. Your status comes first in every sheet, so marking a dance takes a single tap. You can also delete a night from the night itself. A new coat of paint. Type, color, and icons now match walls.dance on every screen

- My Dances, sorted by how you actually learn. Filter by level, from Absolute Beginner through Advanced, and see how many nights you have logged each dance. - Search the catalog without leaving the tab. Type a letter or two and add any dance to your list on the spot. - Open the step sheets on dance pages. When a dance has one, it is linked right under the videos. - Save recap cards to your photos. Straight from the share sheet, no screenshot needed. - Your own profile picture. Set it from your account, like you can on web.
