New phone? Your vault comes back. LifeVault now backs itself up: every record encrypted on your phone, saved to your own iCloud. Nothing to set up. Free during launch.
Stop typing your family's paperwork. LifeVault is a private family organizer that scans your documents and fills in the records for you. The important information for the people, pets, and home you love finally lives in one place.
NOT JUST FILE STORAGE
Most apps store files. LifeVault turns them into organized, searchable records, connected to the people, pets, and home they belong to.
SCAN. IT FILLS ITSELF IN.
Take a photo or add a PDF: a driver's license, passport, insurance card, prescription, or vaccination record. LifeVault reads the key details into a structured record and files the original in your Document Vault, attached to it.
A PROFILE FOR EVERYONE
Create profiles for people, pets, and your home, each with the records that fit it: medical, insurance, IDs, school, travel, legal, vehicle, and pet care. You get 90+ record types, and you can hide the sections you don't need.
A MEDICAL TIMELINE YOU CAN HAND A DOCTOR
Check "Add to Timeline" on records like medications and procedures. Add hospital stays, falls, or cognitive changes in the History section. Now you can show any doctor what's changed, at a glance.
NEVER MISS A DATE
Expiration dates on passports, licenses, and policies become reminders, and your history is preserved as things change.
IT BACKS ITSELF UP
Every record, document, and profile is encrypted on your phone before it goes anywhere, then saved to your own iCloud as you use the app. Add a record this morning and it is already protected. There is nothing to switch on and no password to remember.
NO PHONE RESET REQUIRED
Getting your vault back is not a whole-phone restore. You do not have to wipe a new iPhone or rebuild it from an Apple backup. Install LifeVault, sign in to iCloud, and it finds your vault on its own.
A NEW PHONE, AND YOUR VAULT COMES BACK
Pick a restore point and your people, pets, home, documents, and photos come back the way you left them. As long as you are signed in to iCloud with iCloud Drive on, your restore points are there waiting on whatever iPhone you pick up. LifeVault keeps your recent backups plus a restore point for each day you used it, reaching back months, so if something was deleted by mistake you can still go back to how things were before.
SHARE ONLY WHAT'S NEEDED
Export a whole profile as one organized PDF, or share just the parts that matter for a doctor, teacher, babysitter, or pet sitter. Print Support Guides and Pet Care Guides for real-world handoffs.

Are you kidding me? It’s about time someone made an app like this. This is exactly what I needed. And if you’re reading the reviews trying to decide, there’s a good chance it’s exactly what you need too.Everything important is finally in one place instead of scattered across emails, notes, file folders, and random apps. It’s easy to use, well organized, and gives me peace of mind knowing my family can find what they need if something ever happens. One of those apps you don’t realize you’ve been missing until you have it. Easy five stars.
Needs security update
DD Ming
I love the theme of the app and how it looks but I fear that my secure information isn’t secure because you can’t activate Face ID, password lock and AES doesn’t show a certificate. If these secure features were updated it would be a perfect app. Please update because the information that we put in this app is our life and can ruin our lives if leaked.
Developer Response
Thank you for reporting this. You found a real bug, and your review helped us identify and fix it.We found an issue in the App Lock system that could cause LifeVault to incorrectly determine that device authentication was unavailable. In some circumstances, that meant Face ID and the iPhone passcode fallback were not offered as they should have been. We’ve rebuilt and audited App Lock so Face ID and your device passcode now work together correctly. If LifeVault cannot reliably determine the authentication state, the vault stays locked rather than opening. Most importantly, I want to address your concern about this information being leaked. LifeVault is local-first. LifeVault does not require an account and does not operate servers that store your vault data. Your records, documents, contacts, and other vault data remain on your device unless you choose to back up or share them. The App Lock bug affected access to LifeVault on the device — it did not transmit, upload, or leak your vault data anywhere.I also want to address your AES concern. AES encryption does not use or display a security certificate. Certificates are generally used to authenticate a server or website during a network connection. LifeVault’s own backup files are encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM before they leave the app.The latest update also adds encrypted Automatic Backups, stored in your own iCloud. LifeVault does not operate servers that store your vault or backups.Settings now clearly shows whether your vault is protected by Face ID or your device passcode. You’re right that the information people trust LifeVault with is their life, and protecting it has to be treated accordingly. THANK YOU for taking the time to flag this. I appreciate you suggesting update as opposed to just deleting app. It's feedback like yours that helps me improve LifeVault! If anything still looks wrong after updating, please email support@lifevaultapp.com. I read those messages myself. Many thanks,RachelLifeVault Developer
Your LifeVault now backs itself up.
AUTOMATIC BACKUP
Every record, document, and profile is encrypted on your phone before it goes anywhere, then saved to your own iCloud as you use the app. Change something and a fresh restore point follows it. There is nothing to switch on and no password to remember. We have no servers and cannot read it.
NO PHONE RESET REQUIRED
Getting your vault back is not a whole-phone restore. Install LifeVault on the new iPhone, sign in to iCloud, and it finds your backup on its own. Pick a restore point and your people, pets, home, documents, and photos come back the way you left them.
RESTORE POINTS THAT REACH BACK
LifeVault keeps your most recent backups plus a restore point for each day you used it, reaching back months, labeled so you can tell which ones this iPhone made. If something was deleted by mistake weeks ago, you can still go back to how things were before. You can also export a Backup File you keep yourself.
APP LOCK
Settings now shows plainly what is protecting your vault: Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. LifeVault locks itself again after it sits untouched, hides your vault in the app switcher, and stays locked after you restore your iPhone from a computer.
