Run with me: Find Partners
Find running partners near you
Free
Run with me turns every run into a chance to meet someone. Find running
partners by city, pace and goals, plan a session together, and chat
once you've matched. Whether you're chasing a personal best on the
boulevard or building a base on the treadmill, your stats live in one
place.
WHY RUNNERS LOVE IT
• Buddy matching that actually fits — we pair you by home city, pace,
preferred surfaces (street, park, beach, forest, gym, stadium), and
the goals you set during onboarding.
• Live runs that feel real — outdoor runs trace your route on a live
map with GPS distance, instant pace and an honest BPM read straight
from your Apple Watch. Indoor mode swaps in a calorie hero, a
rolling intensity chart and live cadence so the treadmill never
feels like a black box.
• Smart "Today's Plan" — connect WHOOP or Apple Health and we read
your recovery, sleep duration and sleep performance to suggest a
recovery jog, easy run, steady run or tempo session. Slept poorly?
We'll downshift the plan automatically.
• Apple Watch companion — start, pause, end and save runs from your
wrist. Pick the environment on the watch, see live distance, HR
and pace, and the workout writes back to Apple Health when you save.
• Clubs and events — join the community Virtual Run Club, create your
own group, or host a public run others can join. Cover photos and
member rosters keep groups feeling like a real community, not a
list.
• Stats that match your wearable — daily steps and active calories
pulled live from Apple Health, all-time distance and streaks from
your tracked runs, plus a weekly leaderboard so you can see where
you stand.
• Privacy first — your profile shows only your age, never your date
of birth. You decide who can chat with you (only buddies who
accept your invite), and your location pings stay foreground-only.
WHO IT'S FOR
Beginners who want a buddy to keep them honest. Marathoners hunting
for a Saturday long-run partner. People who travel and want to find
runners in a new city. Treadmill users who'd love their indoor
session to feel as polished as an outdoor one. Anyone who's tired of
running alone.
REQUIREMENTS
• iPhone with iOS 16 or later
• Apple Watch (optional, for live heart rate and direct-from-wrist runs)
• Apple Health permission (optional, for steps + calories + sleep)
• WHOOP account (optional, for recovery-based recommendations)
Run with me is free to use. Stay tuned for premium club tools and
B2B wellness packages coming soon.

A clear first step on Home
New runners now see a Run your first run card on the Home screen instead of a wall of empty numbers, so the next action is obvious.
Better app reports
We fixed how screens are reported to our analytics so we can see exactly where the app feels slow or confusing and fix it for you faster.
Permission feedback
When the app needs Location, Motion or Notifications to track your run, the result is now logged so we can quickly find and fix cases where a denied permission stops a run from saving.

City search for runners
Search by city now shows a real list of cities with the number of runners in each one, so you know where the community is. The old generic Location label is gone.
Cleaner Events suggestions
The Buddies tab only shows upcoming events now. Events that already finished are no longer recommended here.
Simpler Leaderboard filters
Period, Metric and Gender filters are now grouped under one Filter button. Tap it to pick week, month, distance, pace, women, men, or any combination. The current selection is always shown above the list.
Kudos on the Leaderboard
Kudos counts now reflect every reaction you have received in the selected period, not only the reactions on a single run.
Top 3 can be applauded
You can now send kudos directly to the first, second and third place runners on the podium.
Lost runs are caught
If a finished run cannot reach the server, the Home screen shows a banner that lets you retry the sync. No more silently lost runs.
Strava sync that tells you what happened
Tap Sync Strava now on your Profile to pull new runs and see a clear result. If your Strava session expired or the rate limit was hit, the app tells you instead of staying silent. First time you connect we now pull a full year of history.
Cross source duplicates marked
If the same run came in from Apple Watch and Strava, a small note on the row says it was counted once.
Set your home privacy zone
Profile and data has a new Home privacy zone section. Pick 100, 250, 500 or 1000 metres so future shared routes hide the area around your house.
Challenges photos and sharing
Add a cover photo when you create a challenge, and share challenges with friends through any app on your phone.
Home AVG pace fixed
The Avg pace tile on Home now shows the number correctly.

Accurate stats. We fixed a long-standing issue that double-counted runs synced from both Strava and HealthKit. Your distance, leaderboard rank and club totals now reflect each physical run exactly once.
Multi reaction kudos. Tap a friend's run result and choose from seven kudos: clap, heart, fire, strong, fast, runner, party.
Leaderboard kudos. Send a kudos to anyone on the leaderboard right from their row, no extra tap. The Month tab now shows the concrete name of the month so you always know what window you are competing in.
Clubs, much better. The Clubs list now shows each club's total members, total runs and total kilometres, with the most popular clubs first. Open a club to see your collective monthly and all time volume, plus a clean leaderboard of who ran today.
Events, much better. Set a planned distance and a target pace, attach the event to a club, see who is going, and get a reminder push before it starts. After it ends, every participant's result appears inline on the event page and you can react to their run with the new kudos picker. Hosts can edit any field including the cover photo. Past and upcoming events live in separate tabs now.
Reset your password in the app. No emails, no codes. Open Forgot password, confirm your account, set a new password, and you are signed straight back in.
Stay signed in. We fixed the bug that kept logging some runners out and asking you to sign in again. Your session now persists for weeks.
Inbox upgrades. Friend requests have Accept and Decline buttons right inside the inbox. Chat messages show as on screen banners. Tapping a friend request notification opens the action immediately.
Plan a run only shows events you can still join. Past events are no longer mixed in.
Strava connect, by the book. The Connect with Strava button now follows Strava's official brand guidelines so the integration looks at home.

Smarter run tracking when you use multiple devices
• If you record the same run on your Apple Watch, Garmin, Whoop, and our app at the same time, we now detect it's one physical run — not three. Your weekly totals finally match reality.
• Whoop runs that used to be missing now show up automatically. Your band workouts sync into Stats and club Results the moment you open the app.
• Older duplicate runs in your history get cleaned up the first time you launch 2.0.
Steps that actually match what you walked
• The Home tile now reads from every source you have connected — Apple Health, iPhone motion sensor, Apple Watch, and Whoop — and shows the highest count instead of one undercounted source.
• Fixed the iPhone step counter that stopped working on iOS 26.4.
Clubs, finally with real activity
• The Results tab on every club page now shows your members' recent runs — distance, duration, date, and a tap-through to their profile.
Plus all the polish from the late-1.9 sprint
• End-of-workout choice: Save & exit or Discard, no more silent saves.
• Heart rate shows live during every guided workout.
• Onboarding plan names and workout titles are now fully in English.
• A "Your friends" rail on the Buddies tab so accepted requests are easy to find.
Thanks for testing — please keep the feedback coming.

in real time.
NEW: Red badge on Buddies tab shows incoming friend requests, plus
a "Your friends" list so you can find everyone you've connected with.

Version 1.8.1 — Bug fixes for the v1.8 release.
FIXES
• Fixed a crash that could occur when starting a run from the Run tab.
The Dynamic Island and Lock Screen would show the activity as if it
had started, but the app itself would crash and no metrics were
recorded. Runs now record reliably end-to-end.
• Apple Watch walking workouts now sync to your phone's Stats history.
Walks started on the Watch were silently dropped by the import
pipeline because it only accepted running activities; both
running and walking now flow through.
• The Home tab greeting no longer briefly displays "Runner" on app
launch. The placeholder used to flash for a fraction of a second
before your real name loaded; the greeting now stays empty until
your profile is ready, and falls back to your email handle if the
network is slow on cold start.
• Background sync reliability improvements after the Run tab redesign.
1.8.1 May 15
v1.8.0 — Polish + reliability:
• Buddies green "running now" dot now lights only when someone is actually mid-run
• Cancel a sent friend request by tapping it on their profile
• Gym mode finally counts steps + cadence (pedometer permission fix)
• Intensity chart updates in real time + colour-codes effort (blue → red)
• Walking option on Apple Watch alongside Run
• Swipe left to delete a chat
1.8 May 14
Version 1.7.0 — Apple Watch, Live Activity, and a smarter Buddies tab.
NEW
• Apple Watch companion app
Start, pause and finish runs directly from your wrist. Live heart-rate
zones, distance and pace stream over the watch face while you run, and
workouts sync back to Apple Health automatically.
• Live Activity on the Lock Screen + Dynamic Island
Lock your phone mid-run and your time, distance, pace, BPM and active
calories stay visible on the Lock Screen. On iPhone 14 Pro and later,
the same stats live in the Dynamic Island so you can glance from any
app — no more re-opening Run with me to check your km.
• Home Screen widget
Pin a "Today" widget to see distance, calories, steps and your streak
at a glance. Refreshes automatically through the day.
• Share your runs, profile, clubs and events
Tap the new Share button on any event, profile or club to send a
preview-rich link via WhatsApp, Telegram, Messages or AirDrop. Recipients
with the app installed jump straight into the right screen; everyone
else sees a polished web preview.
• Run invitations now arrive as push notifications
When a friend sends you a "run together" invite, you get a banner on
your Lock Screen straight away — no more discovering them hours later.
• Verified runner badge
A blue checkmark next to real, verified profiles. From Profile, tap
"Request verification" to apply.
• Buddies — name search
Find a specific runner fast. Type their name into the new search bar
at the top of the Buddies tab.
• Smarter event creation
Pick a cover photo for your event, and start typing a location to get
real venue suggestions from the map (parks, gyms, addresses) instead
of guessing the spelling.
IMPROVEMENTS
• Step counts now work even without Apple Health
If you haven't connected Health, Run with me uses your iPhone's motion
chip to estimate today's steps and the weekly bar chart, so the Home
tile is never blank.
• Recent runs, redesigned
Stats now shows your three most recent runs with a "See all" link to
the full history. Swipe any row left to delete a run you'd rather
forget.
• Better lock-screen handling during workouts
Background tracking is more reliable on long runs; pause / resume now
reflects instantly on every surface (Watch, Lock Screen, Dynamic
Island).
FIXES
• Live Activity reliability across iOS 16.2–18.
• Watch app no longer disappears from paired Apple Watches after install.
• Workout background modes corrected for watchOS — Watch builds now
pass App Store validation cleanly.
• Several smaller polish fixes across Profile, Events and Clubs.
1.7 May 14
• Redesigned Buddies — TOP MATCH card, segmented filters, Running near you
• "Run with me" friend invites with withdraw
• Share runs to Instagram Stories
• Run detail: gradient hero, time-in-zone bar, pace vs last 5
• Stability + bug fixes
1.6 May 12
v1.5 What's new:
• New chat icon in Buddies tab — jump to messages without digging through profiles
• Weight added to onboarding so we can tailor pace targets to your body
• "Your Zone" badge on profile — automatically derived from your last 20 runs
• Effort summary after every run:
– HR zone breakdown
– Pace vs your last 5 runs (faster/slower)
– Today's percentile vs all runners
