Meet Ask Tidbit, a helper that edits your book for you. • Just say what you want, typed or out loud: "change the cover photo," "make this page one big photo," "take out the weaker shots." Point at a photo or page to show exactly what you mean. • Watch every change happen: photos glide into place on the page, and a summary shows what was added or removed so you can put anything back with a tap. • A simpler editor: switch between Book and Choose photos at the top, flip between two pages and one page next to Edit, and find words, layout and paper together in the Edit menu. • Better face grouping: someone with only a few photos, like a visiting baby, no longer gets mixed up with a family member who looks like them. • A tidier photo grid: duplicate copies of the same video are hidden, similar shots stack neatly, and you can play a video right from its tile. • Story text prints a little larger and is easier to read. • Books with videos stored in iCloud build faster on slow connections. • Fixed a thin green line that could appear along the edge of some photos.

Layflat pages Square books can now be printed on layflat pages, so a photo across both pages lies flat with nothing lost in the middle. Choose Classic or Layflat pages when you pick a size. Order several books at once Add more books at checkout, pay once, and they ship together with a single confirmation. Promo codes do more A code can now include free shipping, and in a multi-book order it applies to every book it covers, or to the one it saves you the most on. Cover designs by shape Browse cover layouts by tall, square, or wide photos. In the editor, the cover now shows a "Tap to add subtitle" prompt where a subtitle can go. Clearer after you pay The order screen walks through Preparing, Sending, and Confirmed, and tells you when it's safe to switch apps. Also • Dragging one photo onto another to swap them now sticks after you change a page's layout. • Layout previews use the photos you actually picked. • Press and hold a book on Home to open its actions. • Books built from already-scanned photos open in the editor sooner. • Fixes and polish throughout.

Tidbit 5.0 Books from more of your life • A date book can now cover several stretches of days. Add a second range and the book pulls from both. • Starting a trip book? Pick several trips at once. • Your homes now show up under Places, with your stays already filled in. A summer house or a winter base can be a book too. Faster editing • Remove photos from a board that shows every spread at once. No extra step. • A date scrubber on the edge of the book and the photo grid jumps you to any day. • Tapping a photo on a page zooms it open into the editor. Videos • Crop a video frame by hand, or tap "Find more frames" for more to choose from. • The video edit sheet fits its content and opens faster. Also • Date fields on the setup screens open a wheel in place, no sheet. • The build card shows when photos are still downloading from iCloud. • Send feedback from Settings. • Fixes and polish throughout, including for iOS 26.

New • Pet Books. Choose Pet and Tidbit finds the photos of your cats and dogs. Name each pet and the names go on the cover. • Start from an album. Pick any album as the source for a book. Use every photo in it, or let Tidbit choose the best ones. • Gift books now put the people you made the book for on the cover. Video • Video pages now appear while the book is building instead of arriving after it finishes. • A clip can take a single page with photos facing it, and two clips can share one spread. The ••• menu can give a clip its own spread, or share one with the clip before or after. • Play a clip full screen from any frame viewer. • The frame chooser shows frames three across, so you can compare two moments side by side, and you can adjust the colour of the frame you print. • The Colour tab now previews the real spread behind each colour. Editing • Hide a photo from a book without leaving the editor. • Mark spreads to keep, so making the book shorter never takes them. You can see which spreads a shorter length would drop before you decide, and undo the change afterwards. • Add, replace, or remove a photo on a specific spread. • Swipe down to close a photo. • Dragging a photo onto a spread now lands where you aim it. • Style and Size show what they are set to at a glance, and the price breakdown is easier to read. Also • Clearer progress while a book builds, including how many batches of photos are done. • Short books now fill out to a printable length on their own, and the biggest spot on a spread goes to the best photo in it. • Better face grouping, so one person is less likely to appear twice. • Books built from a trip keep that trip when Tidbit rescans. • Trips near a second home are recognised more reliably. • Share Tidbit from your profile.

• Every spread now has a ••• menu: move, remove, combine and split, each named in words. • The Edit button split in two, one for layout and one for design, color and frames. • Length, style and size now reach you from any spread, not just the top of the book. • New swap board for trading a photo between any two spreads, and a new font screen that shows your own cover title in every face. • The Length and Size sheets show what makes up the price, and a book that's too long to print offers the trim right in the prompt. • Bigger, easier to read text, faster face grouping on large libraries, and a number of smaller fixes.

• Too long to print? The prompt now hands you the Length slider, with the price moving as you drag. Pick your own number instead of accepting the only one on offer, and stay in the book either way so you can keep looking before you buy. • Length and Size read like paper now, matching every other screen in Tidbit where you're making a decision. • Adding photos from your camera roll asks first, not after: pick the best ones, or use all of them. When they land, a message tells you where they went. Tap it to jump straight there. • Books built around people come together much faster, especially large ones with thousands of faces to sort. • A plain "Missing a photo? Add from camera roll" line on the photos grid, so adding one isn't a hidden gesture. • The people picker holds steady while it refreshes instead of going empty. • Fixed: some readers were dropped onto the sign-in screen partway through the intro.

• Books come together faster. Your photos are sorted once instead of over and over, so pages start appearing much sooner. • Less waiting at checkout. Your book starts uploading while you fill in your address, so there's far less to wait for after you pay. • Face filtering now works on every kind of book, not just trips. • Smarter grouping: two people in the same photo stay two people, and stray groups that don't match anyone in your library get cleared away. • Fixed a cover that could rename your book, plus tutorial polish.

Smoother photos Tap a photo and it now zooms open from the tile you tapped, then shrinks back to it when you close. It works in All photos and in the book editor, and the grid stays live behind it instead of freezing. Faster book building Grouping the people in a large photo library is several times faster, so your book starts laying itself out sooner. Plus smaller fixes and polish throughout.

• Sharing only some of your photos now gets you the full app • Add any photo to a book by hand, including ones with no date or location • Trip naming now works offline • New wedding and gift books, and city covers for multi stop trips • Crop is now a tool in photo adjustments • Various bug fixes and performance improvements

• Add photos now works when you've shared only part of your photo library • More accurate place names for stops and book titles • Cover art for every city on a multi-city trip • Faster, sharper full screen photos • Tap a photo in your book to zoom straight into it • Performance improvements and bug fixes
