No subscription. No monthly credits. No uploads. Unlike every other AI clipper, Clipped runs entirely on your iPhone, so it even works offline. Clipped turns long recordings (podcasts, interviews, lectures, livestreams) into short, ready-to-post clips, entirely on your iPhone. No uploads. No account. No monthly credit limits. Because every model runs on-device, Clipped works in airplane mode and never sends your footage anywhere. HOW IT WORKS 1. Import a long video: podcast, interview, lecture, livestream, or vlog. 2. Pick a model in Settings: Smarter for the best highlight picks, Faster for quicker results, or No AI to choose moments yourself. Apple's on-device Speech engine transcribes the audio; download extra language packs anytime. 3. On-device AI finds the strongest moments and builds clips automatically. 4. Auto-captions are burned into the video. Choose from 7 animated styles, customize the colors, and preview the look live before exporting. 5. Reframe from 16:9 to 9:16 with face detection and tracking. Pick a layout: hard crop that follows the speaker, split-screen, or blur-fill. 6. Export straight to your Camera Roll, ready to post to TikTok, Reels, or Shorts. NEW IN 2.0 - Advanced framing: split-screen panes and a face-tracked camera with smooth motion - Enhance pass: adds AI-timed visual beats, animated text and stat overlays synced to what's being said - AI social captions: generate ready-to-post captions with Apple Intelligence - Redesigned Home and Settings, a model download manager, and noticeably faster transcription WHY ON-DEVICE MATTERS - Your footage never leaves your phone. No cloud, no server, nothing to leak. - Works anywhere: airplane mode, no signal, remote shoots, sensitive client footage. - No account required. Open the app and start clipping. - No monthly credit limits. One podcast or fifty, clip as many as you like, every day. PERFECT FOR - Podcasters turning full episodes into shorts - Streamers and YouTubers clipping long VODs and streams - Interviewers, coaches, and course creators repurposing long recordings - Anyone who wants full control over sensitive or unreleased footage HONEST PRICING Clipped is free to use. Every export includes a small watermark until you remove it with a single one-time purchase. That's the whole model: no subscription, no monthly credits, no "Pro" tier, no paywalled features. Compare that to the rest of this category, which is entirely subscription- and credit-metered, often $15-$30 a month or more. With Clipped, what you pay never changes whether you clip once or every single day. Privacy: https://www.clipped.cc/privacy Terms: https://www.clipped.cc/terms https://www.clipped.cc/

Clipped Needs to Upgrade Its Game

I actually like Clipped, but I feel like they need to upgrade their game if they really want to compete with apps like OpusClip.I’d like to see better AI clipping, virality scoring, stronger hook detection, better captions, automatic removal of dead space and filler words, AI B-roll, and more options for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels. It would also be nice if Clipped could eventually handle the whole process of finding the best moments, editing them, adding captions, branding the clips, and even scheduling them.I like that Clipped keeps things simple, so I wouldn’t want it to become overly complicated. I just think it has a lot more potential than what it’s currently doing.Clipped has the foundation. They just need to level it up.

Thank you so much for this review! means a lot to us, and feedback like this really helps us decide what to build next. Our main goal is a clipping tool that does everything for free, and we're working hard on it. We're improving clip quality and adding more of the features you suggested soon: smarter moment detection, stronger hooks, better captions, and automatic removal of dead space and filler words. And we'll keep it simple, we love that part too!About AI B-roll and other bigger AI features: Clipped runs 100% on your device. Features like those need an outside AI provider, which brings extra costs for us. If we add them one day, they'd be an optional extra, and everything that runs on your phone will stay completely free, just like today. Thanks again for believing in Clipped, more is coming!

It doesn’t even WORK you pay for a black SCREEN.

Developer Response
Hi, sorry you hit a black screen. To clear one thing up: Clipped is completely FREE. The only purchase is an OPTIONAL one time payment to remove the watermark. You NEVER have to pay to make clips.Clipped runs 100% offline. All the AI work happens on your iPhone, so how well it runs depends on your device. On older iPhones the AI features can be too heavy and may not work properly.ì, but we have also the option for not using AI for clipping, that is good for every device. Please email me at s.castellitti.dev@gmail.com and tell me your iPhone model and what you did before the screen went black. I'll help you get it working!
