Fixes a crash on older iPads On an iPad 6th generation and other models with an A10 chip or earlier, the Strange Attractor screensaver quit the app the moment it appeared. It no longer does. The screensavers are also much lighter on those iPads now. They render at half resolution with shorter shader passes, which keeps them smooth on hardware that was struggling with them. Newer iPads are unchanged.

Sharper screensavers Seven of the screensavers are now drawn on the graphics processor, at the display's own resolution. They were previously computed small and stretched to fit, which showed as blocking and stepped edges. • Aurora — layered curtains with fine striation • Flow — filaments traced through a swirling current • Strange Attractor — millions of orbit points, shaded by density • Ink Diffusion — pigment spreading through water (was Plasma) • Hyperspace Tunnel — a ribbed corridor receding towards a distant light • Liquid — bodies of polished metal, merging and parting • Voronoi — cells lit along the seams between them Your selection is unchanged, and the other fourteen styles are untouched.

Six more screensaver styles The idle screen gains six looks alongside the fifteen already there: • Curl Noise Flow — ribbons tracing a swirling current • Strange Attractor — a chaotic orbit drawn by its own density • Plasma — sine fields shifting through a rolling palette • Hyperspace Tunnel — a corridor rushing past • Metaballs — glowing bodies that merge and part • Voronoi Shatter — cells lit along the seams between them Random mode cycles through these too. Your company logo The screensaver can now carry the reception screen's logo, faint over the animation. It drifts slowly, so nothing burns into a display that stays on all day. Fixes • The screensaver clock could read up to a minute behind the iPad. It now changes as the minute does. • Quotation marks in notifications arrived with stray backslashes. • Slack notifications went to #general instead of the channel the webhook belongs to. • Opening hours that run past midnight, and round-the-clock operation, were treated as closed.
