Vivid — Video Player for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Watch
Play the videos on your NAS, PC or device, just as they are.
No copying first. Stream straight from a NAS or PC on the same Wi-Fi network.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
■ Play straight from your NAS
Connect over SMB to your NAS (Synology, QNAP and more) or a PC shared folder and stream your videos. Nothing is stored on your device, so even huge files start playing right away, and read-ahead keeps seeking quick.
■ Your whole library at a glance
Thumbnails are created automatically, so your videos line up in a clear, easy-to-browse grid. You can even set your favorite scene as a video's thumbnail.
■ Every control in one place
Skip back or forward 10 seconds, scrub with the slider, change playback speed, switch subtitle and audio tracks, add bookmarks and build playlists, all right from the player.
■ Pick up right where you left off
Vivid remembers where you stopped, so Continue Watching gets you back in one tap. History shows how far you got in every video.
■ Playlists for back-to-back viewing
Line up videos in the order you like and play them one after another.
■ MKV, 4K and disc images
Play MKV and many other formats. With Pro, play 4K video and unencrypted DVD and Blu-ray ISO files as they are, with chapter navigation and subtitle and audio switching.
■ In sync across iPhone, iPad and Apple TV
Playback position, bookmarks, history and registered folders sync through iCloud. Start on your iPhone and finish on your iPad or Apple TV.
■ Watch on Apple Watch
Open your iPhone library from your wrist and play videos on Apple Watch.
■ Jellyfin and Emby (Pro)
Connect your Jellyfin or Emby server and play from its library.
■ Offline and casting (Pro)
Take videos with you for offline playback, or cast to Chromecast and other TVs.
■ Lock your private folders
Protect folders with a passcode or Face ID. Safety Mode hides locked folders from your lists.
■ Try it right away
Vivid includes a demo video that walks you through the player, so you can explore it even without a NAS.
