ProSimB38M Autopilot Trainer helps pilots understand and improve their knowledge of the Flight Mode Annunciations on the MCP and PFD. Many pilots, especially those new to the aircraft, find it challenging to fully understand the relationship between the flight phase, MCP selections, autopilot modes, and the FMAs shown on the PFD. This app is designed to make that relationship clearer and easier to practise. The app starts with a structured tutorial that explains the use of the autopilot, the MCP, and the FMAs. It includes more than 30 explanatory videos with accompanying texts, arranged chronologically by flight phase, from taxi-out to landing. After the tutorial, you can continue with practical exercises and questionnaires developed by experienced instructors to test and reinforce your understanding. By using the app to practise and prepare in advance, valuable simulator time can be used more efficiently. By working through the app, you will build a solid understanding of the FMAs and their relationship with the autopilot system.
