Pro unlocks the moment you buy it, and a model's first download now shows its progress, with Cancel. • Settings ▸ Pro lists everything Pro covers, with Buy and Restore beside your status. • If the App Store cannot be reached, the upgrade sheet offers Try Again instead of a button that did nothing. • Right after launch, Pro features no longer offer Pro to someone who already owns it. • Video review shows each mask over the exact frame it was made from, on 29.97 fps and variable-rate clips too. • Correcting or re-segmenting a video takes back its approval, so an approved run is always the one you reviewed. • A batch whose export folder is missing is refused, instead of marking every image Done with nothing written. • Boxes and points no longer carry over to the next image, and Duplicate keeps each image's prompt and order. • Contour holds less in memory while you browse a segmented collection, and never loads the same model twice. • Help ▸ Contour Help opens from any window. Every model still runs on your Mac, and Contour still collects nothing.

Settings gains What's New, About and Help. What's New lists recent releases and marks the ones you have not read yet, so after an update you can see what changed without leaving the app. Help ▸ What's New in Contour opens it directly. About shows the version and your Mac's details, with a copy button for bug reports, and credits the models Contour runs. Help keeps the feedback form and support links beside those details. • Settings reopens on the pane you last used, instead of starting on Models every time. • The app icon sits on a slightly warmer gradient, matching Contour's sibling apps in the Dock. Every model still runs on your Mac, and Contour still collects nothing.

The toolbar pickers read correctly again on macOS 27. Model, Tune and Overlay each show a small caption above the value they are set to. On macOS 27 the toolbar drew them inside a shared capsule one line tall, which clipped the value away and left three buttons labelled Model, Tune and Overlay with nothing underneath. Each picker now draws its own capsule, and both lines fit. • The app icon is redrawn so the right half of the C stays legible at small sizes, where it used to close up: in the Dock, in Finder's icon view, and in the App Store. • Contour now ships as an Apple Silicon binary alone, which takes a few megabytes off the download. Nothing changes about what it runs on, since the models have always needed Apple Silicon. Every model still runs on your Mac, and Contour still collects nothing.

Contour now has a way to reach us, in the Help menu. Send Feedback opens a short form on contour.mgcrea.io. Nothing is sent from the app: it hands your browser a web address and stops. Everything that address carries is a plain text field on the page, which you can edit or empty before you send anything: app version, macOS version, your Mac's model identifier, and your language. Four facts, no identifier, nothing about your images. • The Help menu also opens the support page, and still links the public issue tracker for anyone who prefers a thread others can follow. • Contour may ask you to rate it after an export finishes, at most once per version, and never in a session where the upgrade sheet appeared. • The demo fixtures no longer ride along inside the app, which takes about a megabyte off the download. Every model still runs on your Mac, and Contour still collects nothing.

Fix a bad stretch of a video run without redoing the whole clip. Scrub to the frame where a track went wrong, press Re-seed here, and Contour re-detects on that frame and re-propagates just the range you pick. Everything outside that range is left exactly as it was, and the timeline marks each re-seed so you can see where a run was corrected. When it looks right, Approve records that, along with the flagged frames and every correction, in the export manifest beside the masks. A finished video job can also be re-segmented outright now, from the review header or the sidebar, with the seed frame prefilled from whatever the last run used. The previous run stays on disk and reviewable until the new one succeeds. Also in this update: • Running several segments in a row could push memory far enough that macOS quit Contour. It now keeps one model resident and reuses it instead of reloading the checkpoint every run, caps what it will allocate, and releases its cache when the system reports memory pressure. Hardware settings shows the budget it is working to. • The Process Video pane no longer opens its window nearly full-screen tall, and can be shrunk again. • Switching between two video jobs no longer carries the first job's prompt and masks into the second.

Fixes a bug that could leave a video run with no masks. If a clip's frame rate varied along its length, Contour could pick a starting frame past the end of the video, track nothing, and still finish as though it had worked: the job showed as processed and the review timeline opened with no masks on it. Clips recorded at a steady frame rate were never affected. Contour now measures a clip's length exactly instead of estimating it, and a run that cannot start refuses instead of finishing empty. Contour also now runs on macOS 26.0 and later. It previously required 26.4, which is stricter than the requirement shown on the App Store, so some Macs were turned away at install for no reason. If yours was one of them, this build should install.

Contour now segments video. Type a prompt, pick a seed frame, and Contour tracks objects through the whole clip on your Mac, propagating both forward and backward so the frames before the seed are covered too. • Three ways to segment a clip: follow objects from a single seed frame, re-scan periodically so objects entering later get picked up (the default), or detect independently on every frame for crowded scenes and moving cameras, which lifts the ceiling from 16 objects to 200. • Confidence timeline: scrub a finished run with the mask overlaid, read track confidence across the clip, and jump straight to the frames flagged for a confidence drop or a sudden change in mask area. • Video jobs live in the sidebar. Drop a clip and it is saved right away, with its prompt, settings, and results still there after a relaunch. • Video runs write a grayscale mask PNG per frame at native resolution, plus an optional ProRes 4444 movie carrying the mask in its alpha channel. • Shortcuts support: process a folder, process a video, export a Collection, or reveal the latest export from an App Intent. • Batch and video exports now write a JSON manifest recording the model, precision, prompt, settings, and a SHA-256 for every source file. • Sharper masks throughout, single images included: this release closes a set of differences against Meta's reference implementation in both the image and video pipelines, and long clips now hold their confidence instead of drifting frame by frame. • Fixed: seven of the nine model variants would not load at all, including every quantized SAM 3 download from 8-bit down to 4-bit plus MXFP4 and MXFP8, which left only SAM 3.1 and full-precision SAM 3 selectable. All nine now run. This one has been present since the first release. • Fixed: the Point tool now appears only on SAM 3.1, the one model that accepts point prompts, instead of letting you place points that were quietly discarded. • Fixed: masks now propagate correctly to the frames before the seed frame. Video segmentation and the Shortcuts intents require Contour Pro.
