Read the Bible the apostles read: the Septuagint Old Testament restored beside the King James, with daily readings, audio, and verse notes.
Sovereign Logos restores the Bible the apostles read.
For three centuries after Christ, the Church read the Septuagint, the Greek Old Testament quoted throughout the New. Sovereign Logos brings that text back into your hands, alongside the King James Version, in a reader built for serious daily study.
TRANSLATIONS, SIDE BY SIDE
• Septuagint 2012 (modern English LXX)
• Brenton's Septuagint (1851 LXX)
• King James Version (1611)
• Geneva Bible (1599), with the 1560 Geneva Apocrypha
• World English Bible
• The Book of Enoch (R. H. Charles, 1917)
Compare any verse across translations with a single tap. See exactly where the Masoretic Text removed words the apostles read.
THE SHIELD OF FAITH
An optional morning gate built on Apple's Screen Time. Choose the apps that pull hardest and the morning hours to guard. During those hours the apps wait behind a short devotion. Finish your reading and they open for the day. Off by default and free, and your app choices and hours stay on your device.
READING PLANS THAT KEEP GOING
Start Bible in a Year on any day, or build your own plan: the whole Bible, a testament, a range of chapters, or the books you pick, at your pace and on your days. Each plan gets its own tab on Daily. Listen to today's chapters back to back, check them off, and when a plan ends, let it continue through the rest of the testament or the Bible.
DAILY READING WITH AUDIO
A four-section daily reading covering the entire Bible: Old Testament, Psalm, Proverb, New Testament. Audio for every chapter in a clear masculine voice, with lock-screen, Bluetooth, AirPods, and CarPlay controls. Opening the Daily tab never starts audio on its own; you press play when you're ready.
CHRISTIAN CLASSICS AND THE CATECHISM
Read public domain Christian classics chapter by chapter, starting with The Imitation of Christ. Luther's Small Catechism is included, along with Joseph Stump's full 1907 question-and-answer explanation.
PRAYERS AND REMINDERS
Prayers, psalms, canticles, and the creeds, with optional verse-of-the-day and prayer reminders at the times you choose.
TAP A NAME, SEE THE FAMILIAR FORM
The older Septuagint editions spell many names the old way: "Achaab", "Esaias", "Nabuchodonosor". Tap one and a small card shows the name you already know: Ahab, Isaiah, Nebuchadnezzar. Over 600 names are mapped.
RESTORATION MARKERS
Wherever the Masoretic Text removed verses or chapters present in the Septuagint, Sovereign Logos marks the restored text. The Book of Esther, for example, is restored in full, including the six chapters cut by later editors.
YOUR NOTES, YOUR BACKUP
Long-press any verse to bookmark it, highlight it, or write a note. Your notes live on your device, and you can export everything to one backup file and restore it on another device. No account is required, ever.

@SovereignLogos
The daily reading now shows every verse it reads aloud.
Where the Septuagint and the Masoretic tradition number a passage differently, the daily reading could quietly leave verses off the screen while the narration read them. Jeremiah 25 showed thirteen verses and read nineteen. Across the whole Bible this affected 1,478 verses in 278 chapters. A passage the app cannot place is now always shown, because a gap in our data should never take scripture off your screen.
Chapter numbers now convert between translations. Reading Psalm 113 in the Septuagint and switching to the King James Version used to leave you on Psalm 113, which is a different psalm. Searching for a reference, comparing translations, the verse of the day and the daily reading all had the same fault. Every surface now converts the number and shows you both, so a chapter header reads "Psalm 115 (KJV: 116)" and you always know where you are. This affects 27 books. Jeremiah is reordered wholesale in the Septuagint: its chapter 27 is chapter 50 in the King James Version.
The King James Version now shows you what is missing from it. Reading Daniel 3, between verses 23 and 24, the app tells you that 67 verses were removed from the Masoretic text, names the Septuagint as the witness that preserves them, and opens them with a tap. That passage is the Prayer of Azariah and the Song of the Three Young Men. Until now only a Septuagint reader was told anything, which is backwards: it is the reader of the shorter text who cannot see what is absent.
The daily reading played the wrong psalm on ten days a year, and none at all on two. Fixed, and the audio for every affected day has been re-recorded.
"Removed from the Masoretic text" markers no longer appear where nothing was removed. They are now drawn only from verified entries.
Home shows a row of recent teachings instead of a single slot, because several go out on a busy day. No autoplay, no endless scroll.
Backup's "Replace" option no longer promises something it does not do. It said it wipes everything first. It clears only the kinds of data your backup actually contains, and now says so.
