Events include weather information

Updated launch screen

This update includes performance improvements, bug fixes, and other refinements to keep Driftd running smoothly.

- Smoother live map: your pin and follow camera keep taking real GPS steps during a drive, including at 0 mph or when the phone briefly goes inactive. Coming back to the app snaps to the latest location instead of staying frozen. - Squad and DM chats now show progression badges under profile photos.

Improvements to drive tracking.

Create events from the Events tab, and start a drive in one tap. • Add an event with a photo and location, then choose public or private. Public listings still need review, and pending ones show under My Events • Creating from a squad posts to that squad; creating from Events lets you pick squads • Quick Drive is now a short confirmation — last vehicle, squads, and Record setting are ready, then Start Drive

- Simplified Quick Drive flow - Locking your phone during a drive no longer overheats the app or leaves it stuck when you come back. Recording and live sharing keep going. - The Map tab no longer keeps your screen on just because it’s open. Auto-Lock works again unless you’re driving, sharing live, or following someone. - CarPlay now shows community cameras when that layer is on, and the Map/3D control on your phone updates the car display right away. - Pasting a photo into chat attaches the image — not a file path. Link previews stand on their own when they load, and copied webpage thumbnails aren’t treated as photos.

Map performance optimizations Improved route sharing experience Fixes for zoom options in CarPlay Smoother CarPlay animation with app isn't focused

Optionally display of license plate readers (Flock cameras) and alert within 50 miles of your location.

• Switch between Map and 3D follow on CarPlay from your phone • Smoother squads and chat performance • Better destination search and route planning • Map gear opens Map Options, including a remembered 3D follow camera preference • Active drive maps stay locked on you through route checkpoints; panning still exits follow • Map sheets and insets hug their content more tightly; Quick Drive drops the redundant recording footer • CarPlay Map/3D camera switching is more reliable, including when you’re not in an active drive • Performance and stability improvements

- Improved route planning performance for longer routes, making the planner smoother while panning and editing. - Fixed an issue where very long guided routes could be rejected on Android. - Improved reliability when saving squad events with optional venue details. - General bug fixes and polish.

- Improvements to CarPlay performance - Removed 3d follow - Added zoom buttons to map

This update improves navigation, events, and drive planning across Driftd. You can now search for destinations from the map, prepare a route, and start a drive more smoothly. Event directions now open into Driftd routing when available, with Apple Maps as a fallback. CarPlay has been upgraded with better destination search, route-drive handoff, active-drive controls, and clearer navigation status while driving. Events now refresh more reliably after location becomes available, with cleaner upcoming event lists and radius filtering. We also improved chat image and link preview performance, plus fixed several map, drive session, and routing polish issues.

- Add social profiles to your Profile - Initial CarPlay support

• Chat keeps the latest message visible when opening from notifications or after idle • Route planning recenter reliably returns to your location after panning the map

• Redesigned squad invite flow - pick squad contacts, invite by phone, or share a link • Shared tab routes and places open on the Map tab • Place detail sheet polish

Squads & sharing Shared tab on squad detail — new tab between Events and Grid with filter chips (All, Photos, Videos, Links, Routes, Places). Gallery grids use uniform square tiles; admins can long-press to delete. Saved routes can be shared to squad chat with map preview cards. Fixed empty/flicker on first open and when switching filters. Route sharing — Share Route from Profile, Map Routes menu, and route options (squad chat + external share). Shared With You in Routes is populated from squad shares; shared route cards open on the map. Shared tab polish — Route rows use the same green route icon as Profile (not map thumbnails). Shared All tab is more reliable when summary API fails (fallback + retry). Shared routes show correctly in Routes and All. Add Member — Removed invite balance / earn-at-level copy; Copy link and Invite by SMS are always available for owners/admins. Invites & signup Profile Invite — Top-left Invite on your profile fetches your permanent signup link and opens the system share sheet. Signup with squad invite — Optional squad invite link/code on the name step; validated before account creation and auto-joins when bound (no second deep-link tap). Sign-in copy — Phone field now says US or Canadian number (subtitle, hint, and validation). Chat & events Past events — Squad and DM chat no longer show RSVP on ended events; shows “This event has ended” instead.

- Fixes to garage layouts. - Progression descriptions (how to earn points) - Add to Squad name search now Adds existing Driftd contacts directly instead of sending a broken phone invite. - Invite-sheet errors stay in the sheet — no longer triggers the global “Something Went Wrong” Map alert. - Squad admins can see pending phone invites on Add to Squad and remove them; list shows matched Driftd user names when available.

Driftd gets smoother drives, cleaner events, and richer garage details. Active Quick and Route drives can now keep tracking more reliably in the background after permission, while non-drive sharing still stays When In Use. Events are easier to browse with a combined Upcoming list, Squad event creation is cleaner, and invite screens now show how many signup invites you have left. We also improved chat history recovery, rapid replies, profile stats refresh, Squad mute copy, and overall map marker reliability.

New in this version: Driftd now gives you three ways to start a drive: Quick Drive Hit the road without planning ahead. Start driving, and save a drive summary to your profile. Route Drive Follow a saved route with checkpoints and route progress, built for planned drives and structured outings. Go Live Broadcast your live drive location to selected Squads so friends can follow along in real time.
