Glit is a macOS writing app built from the ground up for web novel authors — simple by design. Every unnecessary tool has been stripped away, leaving you with one thing: a space to write.
WRITE WITHOUT DISTRACTION
Glit opens to a blank page and a single prompt: write. The interface stays calm and minimal, with four themes — Warmth, Clarity, Midnight, and Clean — and an adjustable interface text size, so you can shape a comfortable space and keep your focus on the words.
STRUCTURE THAT ORGANIZES ITSELF
Turn on Web Novel Mode and your manuscript is automatically sorted into folders, ten episodes at a time. No more renaming chapters or dragging files around as your story grows — the structure keeps itself in order while you keep writing.
YOUR WORLD IN ONE PLACE
Glit gives your story its own world-building space, with folders for your characters and for the places, factions, and key terms that make up your world. It all lives right beside your manuscript, so the details are always a click away instead of scattered across other apps.
WHAT'S INSIDE
- Markdown editing with a clean, live preview
- Built-in image and PDF viewers, in the editor or in their own windows
- Per-episode preview that shows your text the way readers will see it
- Automatic backups while you write, so a slip is never the end of your draft
- A Trash folder that holds deleted files until you're sure
- Eight interface languages
Your work stays yours: Glit saves everything as plain text and Markdown files on your Mac, ready to open in any other app.
Start with a blank page. Let the chapters sort themselves. And keep your whole world in one place.
