New: Tonight widgets for the Home Screen, StandBy and Lock Screen, with I'm awake right on the Home Screen. Start a Check-In from Control Center or Siri.
Stay awake until the time you choose. Keep Me Awake rings the moment you start to drift off, so you make it through the night feed, the night shift, the all-nighter or the jet-lag reset.
TWO WAYS TO STAY AWAKE
• Check-In: tap "I'm awake" every 5, 10 or 15 minutes. Miss one and the alarm goes off.
• Dead Button: hold a finger on the screen. The moment it slips, the alarm rings.
PLAN THE NIGHT
• Set "stay awake until" (say 6:00 AM) and press Start. The session ends by itself when you get there.
RINGS WHEN IT MATTERS
• On iOS 26, a missed check-in rings like the Clock app: through Silent and Focus, with the phone locked or the app closed.
• On earlier iOS versions a chain of time-sensitive notifications rings instead (Silent mode can mute those).
• If iOS closes the app in the night, your session keeps going.
CHECK IN WITHOUT UNLOCKING
• The countdown sits on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with an "I'm awake" button right there.
WIDGETS AND ONE-TAP START (FREE)
• The Tonight widget for your Home Screen (small or wide), StandBy (your iPhone on its side while it charges) and the Lock Screen.
• It shows the time you're staying awake until, this week's hours and how many nights in a row you made it. During a Check-In it counts down; on the Home Screen and in StandBy it has an "I'm awake" button that works without opening the app.
• On the Lock Screen: a short card, a round countdown, or one line above the clock.
• On iOS 18 and later, add Start Check-In to Control Center, the Lock Screen or the Action button. Or ask Siri: "Start a check-in in Keep Me Awake".
A SLEEPY THUMB CAN'T FAKE A SUM
• Optional wake-up check, in Check-In and in Dead Button: the alarm keeps ringing until you solve a quick sum.
SEE EVERY NIGHT YOU KEPT
• Your nights: hours awake this week, a bar for each day, and how many nights in a row you made it to your end time.
• Tap a night to see every check-in on a line through the night, when the alarm rang and how long you took to answer.
• Your nights stay on your phone. Delete one night, or clear them all, any time.
EASY TO READ AT 3 AM
• Follows your iPhone's text size on every screen; Start, I'm awake and the hold button always stay on screen.
• VoiceOver reads the countdown and every button. Dark Mode (warm charcoal at night) and Reduce Motion supported.
PRO, A ONE-TIME PURCHASE (NO SUBSCRIPTION)
• Start soft, get louder: a check-in alarm starts at a quarter of the volume and reaches full in 30 seconds
• All four alarm sounds, plus your own sound files (they ring with the app closed too)
• Check-ins every 1, 2 or 3 minutes, or Random: each one 3 to 8 minutes after the last, so you can't doze off to the rhythm
• Unlimited Dead Button (free sessions last 15 minutes, then you can carry on with Check-In)
• Three harder sums for the wake-up check
• Your whole history of nights and all-time totals (the last 7 days are free), and a CSV export for spreadsheets
• Volume control and intense vibration
No account, no ads, no tracking. Everything stays on your phone.
Please don't use Keep Me Awake to keep driving. If you're too tired to drive, pull over and rest.
Check in from your Home Screen.
• New: the Tonight widget. Add it to your Home Screen or to StandBy (your iPhone on its side while it charges). It shows the time you're staying awake until and this week's hours.
• During a Check-In it counts down to the next check-in, with an I'm awake button that resets it without opening the app. When a check-in is due it turns red, and if you use the wake-up check it tells you to open the app.
• After a session ends by itself, it says You made it and how long you were awake.
• The widget also comes in a wider size, with a big I'm awake button during a check-in and your week day by day the rest of the time, and on the Lock Screen: a short card, a round countdown, or one line above the clock.
• On iOS 18 and later, add Start Check-In to Control Center, the Lock Screen or the Action button: one tap opens the app and starts a Check-In until your end time. Or ask Siri: "Start a check-in in Keep Me Awake".
• The widget is free.
• New for Pro: Start soft, get louder. A check-in alarm starts at a quarter of the volume and reaches full volume in 30 seconds, kinder to anyone asleep nearby. Settings › Volume and vibration.
• Your own alarm sound now rings when the app is closed too, not just the default alert.
• The wake-up check now works in Dead Button too: let go and you solve the sum to stop the alarm, then put your finger back within 10 seconds.
• Free Dead Button sessions still last 15 minutes, but at the end you can keep going with Check-In instead of an alarm that wouldn't stop.
• New for Pro: Random check-ins. Each one comes 3 to 8 minutes after the last, so you can't doze off to the rhythm.
• Settings is shorter: one screen with Check-In, Alarm and About, and a page for each thing. Tap Sound on the start screen to go straight to the sounds.
• Your nights: tap a night to see every check-in on a line through the night, when the alarm rang and how long it took you to answer. Delete a single night from its page, or press and hold it in the list.
• Nights in a row: see how many nights running you made it, on Your nights, under You made it and on the widget.
• New for Pro: export your nights as a CSV file to open in a spreadsheet.
• The app opens a little faster.
