Nubly is real-time, dynamic carpooling for professionals who commute. We match
people already heading the same way — so riders share the cost of a commute
instead of driving alone, and drivers are reimbursed for the miles they share.
WHY NUBLY WORKS WHERE CARPOOLING ALWAYS FAILED
Static carpool matching has failed for fifty years because it demands three
coincidences at once: the same origin, the same destination, and the same
schedule. Nubly flips the frame. Your driver doesn't share your neighborhood or
your office — they're just passing through. We match along the stretch of road
you have in common, drop you close to where you're actually going, and the
driver continues on. The city becomes the network.
FOR RIDERS
• Pay a share of the driving cost, not a fare. Your Contribution is based on the
IRS mileage rate for the miles you share with the driver, split among the
riders aboard and adjusted for how many riders there are. No surge pricing.
• See the proposed charge before you confirm. The amount you are finally
charged can be lower.
• Fees for payment processing and running the platform are shown as one amount
on your receipt — and are waived in full for Founding Members in the Bay Area
through December 31, 2026.
• Dropped closer to where you actually work — on the driver's route, not at a
fixed station.
• Hands-free travel: answer email, take calls, read, think.
• Every trip is an independent decision. Cancelling close to the driver's start
time can incur a share of your Contribution, paid to the driver.
FOR DRIVERS
• Get reimbursed for a commute you were already driving. Your Reimbursement
equals the Contributions your riders pay for the miles you share.
• Control on your terms: set your maximum detour, and accept or decline each
rider.
VERIFIED COMMUTERS ONLY
Every driver and rider verifies their professional identity with LinkedIn, so
the person in the car is a real professional — not an anonymous account.

Nubly is currently in pilot in the San Francisco Bay Area. Payments are handled
securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full payment details.
