A fresh look for galleybook. • New design across the whole app: cookbook grid, recipe detail and cooking mode rebuilt from the ground up. • Three simple tabs, a quick add-recipe sheet and a Profile hub for settings and sharing. • galleybook premium now costs less – see the new price on the premium screen. • Fixes for image placeholders, ratings after cooking mode and fraction display.

Freshly seasoned: version 1.9 • Your free trial is now a full week — cooking is a weekly project, after all. • A completely new premium screen that shows your own recipes instead of empty promises. • The app now asks you for a rating (exactly once) — at the perfect moment, we promise. • Sharpened knives under the hood.

Fresh out of the oven: version 1.8 • Notifications now actually work on iPhone. Your phone was ignoring us — we had a serious talk. • Recipe photos no longer zoom in so bravely that all you could see was a single tomato. • Your trial now tells you honestly what it includes and when it ends. Honesty is the main ingredient. • Tidied up under the hood. You could eat off the floor in there.

Decimal amounts 0.5 onions, 1.5 litres of milk: you can now type decimal amounts when editing a recipe. The amount field used to swallow anything after the separator — and on keyboards that send a comma instead of a full stop, it didn't work at all.

Notifications now arrive on iPhone. If you follow public galleys, you'll hear when a new one goes live. This never made it to iOS before — now it does. Recipes saved from the share sheet keep their source. Save from Safari, Instagram or anywhere else and the original link travels with the recipe, so you can always get back to where it came from. Clearer answers when a recipe won't save. If something goes wrong, galleybook now tells you what actually happened instead of blaming the link. In case you missed it: you don't have to open galleybook to save a recipe. Tap Share in any app, pick galleybook, and it lands in your library.
