FindText PRO is a macOS app for searching text inside files without leaving a clear, visual workflow. Import folders, search across their contents, inspect matching lines with paths and line numbers, then copy or export the results when you are done.
Use simple text search for everyday work or regular expressions for more advanced queries. Guided mode helps you build searches step by step, while Expert mode gives you grep-style controls such as case sensitivity, whole-word matching, line-boundary matching, inverted results, matching-text-only output, file-path-only output, included extensions, and excluded directories.
FindText also helps with careful replacements. Preview replacement candidates before changing files, select only the occurrences you want, apply the change, and review a summary afterward. The most recent replacement batch can be undone when needed.
