Autumn is here • From September to November, the whole app turns autumn colors: maple, ginkgo and pine. Turn it off in Settings › Seasonal theme • When you open the app, the squares of the KrossWord logo press in one by one • Open the Idiom Quiz right below the start button at the top of Home • Word lists download only when needed, so the app uses less data and starts faster • Fixed the selected icon in the bottom tab bar being hard to see

One more thing after a puzzle • After a puzzle, you may see words that share a hanja with a word you solved. Tap one to save it to your word notes • If a solved word appears in a Korean proverb, a fill-in-the-blank proverb card appears. Tap the blank to fill it in and see its meaning • Fixed words saved only to your word notes counting as collected in your Word Book. They now count as new when you solve them

Quizzes and clues no longer give away the answer • Fixed translated example sentences, definitions and clue translations that showed the answer or its translation before you answered. Lines where the answer can't be blanked out are now hidden before you answer • Fixed example sentences where hiding the answer also blanked out parts of other words • "Delete My Data" now retries correctly on the next launch if the first attempt fails

Clues are readable again • Fixed an issue in 1.4.5 where some letters in clues were replaced with ○. Only the answer itself is now hidden if it appears in a clue

Learn idioms character by character • 455 idioms, with hanja, meaning and reading for each character • Pick only Idioms in Free Play for a bigger board • After a puzzle, see examples, hear audio and save words • Watch a short ad for 3 hints • Invite and challenge links open in the app • Last week's #1 gets a name badge; see your rank below the top 20 • New Versus results; fixed mixed-in Korean text and missing translations

Share today's challenge, and get a nudge to keep going • Share your Daily Challenge result. After you finish, tap it on Home to share again • At most one reminder a day: before your streak breaks or when review words pile up (turn it off in Settings) • Fixed correct Korean answers wobbling as if they were wrong • Your first puzzle starts with the easiest word and quietly shows an initial consonant if you get stuck • Easier-to-spot hint button, plus translation and progress-restore fixes

Your score is recorded every time now • Speed Challenge and Free Play scores now count — until now they were never saved • Leave mid-puzzle or close the app and the points you earned still stay • Switching language keeps your score, level and ranking exactly as they were • Your rank now shows even when you are outside the top of the board • The overall board now ranks by the total score you have built up

Take the quiz in your own language • Pick English, Japanese or Chinese and the meanings really come in that language • Hear the answer read aloud right on the results card • Switching devices or reinstalling no longer brings old words back • Today's Challenge now matches the theme it shows • After a puzzle, jump straight into flashcards for the words you just met • Fixed crossing words that would not complete, and the cursor skipping ahead twice

Read every Korean word, even if you're new to Hangul • Romanized pronunciation now appears under Korean words (ae ji jung ji) • Chinese characters shown for idioms, plus a listen button • Cleaned out roughly 1,700 rare or uncomfortable words • Added 77 four-character idioms • Pick your difficulty right from the home screen • Fixed examples that showed the answer outright

Input, sound and iPad fixes • Fixed the cursor getting stuck on one square instead of moving on • Fixed the music cutting out when moving between screens • Music now resumes after you come back from another app • On iPad, the keyboard and clue no longer stretch across the whole screen • Pro now shows its price up front • Pro benefits are visible from the Study screen too • Removed the daily one-word mode

A much better quiz in the Study tab • Choose between idioms and everyday words — word quizzes are new • Fixed questions repeating: the quiz now remembers past rounds and serves fresh ones • Type-the-answer questions are back, and you can turn them off if you'd rather not • Changing the quiz language now also changes the question wording, not just the clue • New "My word notes" — save words from flashcards, quizzes or puzzles and review them in one place

A cleaner look across the app • Lighter type and tidier spacing make every screen calmer • Messages now always appear in the same place, and needless ones are gone • Long clues can be opened in full with "More" • Vibration and game language can now be changed during play • The quiz answer box is easy to see, and you move on when you're ready

Friend features are safer now • Profiles and friend lists can only be changed by their owner — we moved this to the server • A gift can only be accepted or declined by the person who received it • Report details are no longer readable by anyone else

Fixed being unable to leave a game • Pressing back during a game showed no confirmation, so there was no way out. That is fixed • The offline banner no longer blocks the buttons along the top of the screen Idiom quiz now works in English, Japanese and Chinese • Read the meaning and example in your language, then pick the Korean idiom • Choose the quiz language in the Study tab Typed questions have a scratch-off letter hint • Each syllable sits under its own cover, so you can reveal only as much as you need Earn hints every time you watch an ad • The once-per-stage limit is gone Vibration can be turned off separately • Typing vibration and effect vibration (correct answers, level-ups) are now two switches Every word now has English, Japanese and Chinese meanings and examples • Turn on translation display in Settings to see them under the clue

Deleting now works the way you would expect • When you clear a letter, the cursor stays in that square. It used to jump backwards, so your next letter landed in the wrong square and wiped out a letter you had already solved • Press delete again on an empty square to move back. That square's letter is cleared on the press after that Journey difficulty actually ramps up now • Stages 6 through 19 were effectively all the same difficulty. Each band now gets steadily harder • Fixed five-letter words turning up in the "very easy words" of stages 1 and 2

Cleaned up Korean text that was still showing throughout the English app • Words you collected were being translated on English screens — Korean words now stay Korean everywhere • Filled in nearly 200 missing translations across missions, collection rewards, reporting and more • Close and back buttons were too small to hit reliably; the tap area is bigger while they look the same • Fixed the friends features being locked out when the leaderboard failed to load • You can now see why the leaderboard failed to load • Fixed copying your friend code doing nothing at all

Fixed words repeating too often • Words you never saw were being marked as already used — fixed • Rewrote about 200 awkward or stiff word descriptions • Report a bad clue right from the puzzle; enough reports pull it from rotation • Added about 2,900 advanced words, so later stages get genuinely harder • More words per board in Speed Challenge • Fixed final consonants not being typable in Daily Word • Fixed scores not showing up in the rankings • Fixed last week's score sticking around after the weekly reset • Your new name now shows in the rankings right away • Fixed widgets not appearing in the widget list • Re-tapping a hint you already used no longer costs a hint • Versus and Co-op are now a clear choice when you create a room • Bookmark words while you play
