• Every byte is counted. DirStat no longer skips hidden folders or dependency folders like node_modules, .git and DerivedData. A real project folder that used to show 40 MB now shows its true 7.5 GB. • Dependency and cache folders collapse into a single row instead of thousands of tiny files, so scans stay fast and the chart stays readable. • The duplicate finder no longer reports two different files as duplicates when they merely share a size and a first chunk. • Errors are shown instead of silently ignored: failed scans, saves, exports and moves to Trash now tell you what happened. • The chart no longer comes up empty for folders with hundreds of similar files, labels no longer overlap, and collapsed folders can't be opened into a dead end. • Live refresh and Move to Trash no longer stall the window on large folders. • Many smaller fixes: readable selection in light mode, unit changes apply immediately, "1000.0 KB" reads "1.0 MB", and more.

Faster scans, and new ways to track what changed on disk. SPEED • Scans are substantially faster on large folders. Directory reading, the in-memory layout, and sorting were all rebuilt, so big folders chart in a fraction of the time and use noticeably less memory. • Dependency and cache folders like node_modules now collapse into a single row carrying their total size and file count, instead of charting every tiny file inside. On a real projects folder this roughly halved scan time. NEW • Save Scan writes the current scan to a file you can reopen later as a read-only snapshot, with a banner showing when it was captured. • Compare With Saved Scan shows exactly what changed since a snapshot: added, removed, grown, shrunk, and files that were replaced by a folder at the same path. Whole added or removed folders collapse into one row instead of listing every file inside. • Live updates while a folder is open now patch just the part of the chart that changed, instead of reloading everything. FIXED • Deleting from the Duplicates list no longer throws you back to the Treemap tab. • Disk usage from hardlinked files is now counted correctly after deleting, after a refresh, and when another app removes a copy. • Fixed a crash that could happen when files changed on disk mid-scan. • Fixed volume scans that could badly under-report total size. • Fixed a scan that could hang, and refuse to cancel, on folders containing very large numbers of small files.
