Sun's out? Find a pub terrace that's still sunny near you in 2 seconds, and exactly how long you've got before the shade takes it.
Solaro tells you in 2 seconds whether that pub terrace is still in the sun, and exactly how long you have before the shade takes it.
Rated 4.8/5. Free, no ads, no account.
Type the address of a pub, café or restaurant. Solaro works out the sun's exact angle, finds the buildings about to block the façade, and gives you:
- A big countdown: "47 min of sun left"
- The next 6 hours: when it goes into shade, when it comes back
- A live map of building shadows
- Pubs and terraces around you, ranked by how sunny they are
- Favourites, so your usual suntrap is one tap away
- A home screen widget: sun left, without opening the app
No other app tells you the sun REMAINING. The others show you where the sun is. Solaro tells you whether THIS beer garden, or the one next door, is in the sun right now and until when. That difference decides where you sit when it's 16°C in April.
Built for the terrace, not the sofa: readable in glaring sun, with sunglasses on, in 2 seconds, after the third pint.
Everything is worked out on your phone, instantly.
WHERE IT WORKS
Anywhere buildings are mapped with their heights: London, Brighton, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Dublin, Paris, Bordeaux, Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona... If your city is missing data, the app says so instead of making it up.
COMING SOON
