Skrim. Send something just for them.
Hide an encrypted image inside an ordinary cover photo. Only your device and your chosen recipient can reveal it. Or keep it just for this device.
SOMETHING JUST FOR THEM
Exchange Skrim contact cards, save each other's card and compare safety codes. Choose who can open your image before you conceal it, then share the original file. Receiving private images and exchanging contact cards are free.
KEEP THE REVEAL PRIVATE
Optionally require device authentication before revealing. Tap the eye to hide the private image behind its cover again. Saving a revealed image creates an unprotected copy in Photos.
MAKE IT
Turn videos and GIFs into Live Photos. Short GIFs loop automatically to provide at least three seconds of motion. Choose the still moment, adjust playback speed and export from the media editor. Make photo cutouts or text stickers with transparent PNG export, crop options and outlines. No watermarks.
SHARE LESS
Inspect hidden photo details before sharing. Remove identifying metadata, replace existing details, or add details to a clean photo. Protect supports Live Photos while preserving their motion. Clean photos from the app, Share Sheet or Messages extension.
DISGUISE AND RESTORE
Use a cover image to disguise a photo in your library. Restore the original through Skrim or Photos. This edit-in-place photo tool is separate from encrypted private-image sharing.
FIVE FREE ACTIONS EACH DAY
One shared allowance across creations, exports and photo privacy tools. A batch counts each processed photo. Receiving private images and the onboarding photo-cleanup demonstration do not use your allowance. Ghost Mode unlocks unlimited use with a one-time purchase. No subscription; see in-app pricing for your storefront.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW
Send private images as original files. Apps that resize or re-save photos can erase the hidden image. Access depends on the original device keys; key recovery and transfer are not available. Keep this in mind before using device-only storage for anything irreplaceable.
Compatible Live Photos may be used as Live Wallpapers on supported devices. Wallpaper motion depends on the device, iOS and source clip; creating a Live Photo does not guarantee wallpaper motion.
Media processing happens on your device. Optional sharing, purchases and promotion downloads use their respective network services.
