Faster, more accurate searches, a simpler way to sign in, and plans that give you more searches every month.

Improved search accuracy — now with more ways to narrow a name search down to the right person.

Faster, more accurate records. We've sharpened how every record is checked against the web, and added instant professional details for healthcare providers.

Records are easier to read, with the best phone and email up front. Purchases are also confirmed more reliably, even on a weak connection.

Out of searches? You'll now see your own plan, when it resets, and the option to move up — instead of the same subscribe screen a new user sees. You can also ask us to email you when your searches come back. Buy from a search that was blocked and it now runs straight away, instead of leaving you to start over. Phone lookups tell you right away when a number is outside our coverage, instead of spending a search to find out. Error messages clear as soon as you start typing again.

Possible matches. When we find a link that's probably the person you're looking for but can't confirm it, we now show it with the reason instead of hiding it. You decide whether it's them. Employer pages, directory listings and Wikipedia entries now appear alongside social profiles. Name searches that come up empty suggest other spellings — Bob for Robert, Kate for Katherine. Tap one to search again. Your account, plan and settings now live together on the You tab. Repeat searches on someone already looked up are faster, and a search that finds nobody is never charged.

Records keep filling in after they open, with a live line showing what's being checked and what was added. Tap a relative to look up that exact person. Every search screen shows what a search uses before you run it. Larger, bolder type and stronger contrast throughout.

Keyboard handling is fixed throughout — tap anywhere to dismiss, and the return key does the right thing on every field. Managing or cancelling your subscription now opens inside the app, instead of sending you out to a list of everything you're subscribed to.

CHANGES IN THIS VERSION App name and subtitle updated to describe the app more accurately in search. The only functional changes are two small ones: the wording shown when a search returns no results, and a client-side check that tells the user PeopleOwl covers US numbers only before running a search on an international number. Nothing else has changed since the approved 1.1 build.

New plans: 12, 48, or 150 searches a month. Every result now shows in full — no preview step. Faster sign-in, and your first search is still on us.
