ADS-B Menu turns the Raspberry Pi already listening to the sky in your home into a beautiful, glanceable feed. See every
aircraft overhead — callsign, altitude, ground speed, distance, signal strength — without leaving what you're doing.
Two themes
• Regular — a clean native macOS table, sortable by any column, with right-click copy and FlightAware lookup.
• Vestaboard — an animated split-flap airport board, complete with mechanical clatter sound. Because you've earned it.
Receiver health at a glance
Radio status, MLAT sync, CPU temperature, CPU load, and live message rate — pinned to the top of every view, in either theme.
Built for hobbyists
• Sortable columns: callsign, ICAO hex, squawk, altitude, ground speed, distance, vertical rate, heading, signal strength
• Search filter for callsign, hex, or squawk
• Auto-detects SkyAware, tar1090, and dump1090-fa endpoints during first-launch setup
• Smart connection handling with exponential backoff
• Auto-recovers when you switch networks (home Wi-Fi to office, VPN on/off)

Works anywhere with Tailscale
Connect to your home Pi from anywhere by entering its Tailscale IP. No port forwarding, no public exposure — just devices in
your tailnet.
Privacy-first
ADS-B Menu polls only your receiver. No analytics, no telemetry, no accounts, no cloud. Your aircraft data never leaves your
network.

- Registration column — see each aircraft's N-number, derived instantly on-device from its transponder code
- Route column — origin → destination airports for airline flights, including the correct leg of multi-stop routes (best effort)
- Aircraft class badges — heavies and helicopters are flagged in the aircraft list, with full details on hover
- Distances now auto-configure from your receiver's reported location
- More resilient connection handling: brief network hiccups no longer clear the aircraft list, and editing the receiver address retries automatically
