New fixes now reach your phone the first time you open the app, not a few opens later. The app also picks up new fixes quietly in the background, so they are ready when you open it. On iPhone, the sign-in message now says "Parently Loop". Home shows each school thing once, and your evening brief agrees with it. If setup gets stuck, the app can remind you, twice at most.

Signing in is clearer. Before you connect, the app shows exactly what it reads and what it never touches. On iPhone, the sign-in message now names Google or Microsoft. If you leave setup halfway, the app opens again on the step you were on. Setup asks one simple question about your school and names your children. If the school writes about a child you haven't added, the app offers to add them in one tap.

A school fee you still owe now stays on Home until you tick it, and the same bill sent twice shows only once. When a fee is for one of your children, the app names that child. When the school confirms a payment, that bill is cleared everywhere. Trips and tickets the school only invites you to are no longer counted as fees you owe. If the app can't find your school's emails, Home now lets you connect the email your school writes to. A brighter, cleaner look.

Home now leads with the one thing that needs you first, and your morning message says the same thing. Setup is shorter: one welcome screen, then straight to your school emails. Notifications are switched on properly from your very first day. Mornings are quieter: homework hand-ins, closed sign-ups and other classes' shows stay out of your 7am message. A school holiday coming up now sits at the top of Home in its last few days.

Your evening Loop is more careful this time. • No more nudges about deadlines from last term. Anything more than three weeks past its date stays in the app instead of turning up on your lock screen. • The number in your notification now matches your WhatsApp brief. They were being worked out at different times, so they could disagree with each other. • Open the app late in the evening? You'll still get that evening's Loop. If you only check your phone after the kids are down, you were quietly getting nothing. • If the school didn't name a day, neither do we. The app was occasionally saying things like "by Friday" about emails that never mentioned Friday — or any date at all. • When a teacher asks you something, we now tell you what they asked. "Send a photo and a paragraph" isn't much help without the question you're meant to answer.

A few things that were getting in the way. Fee reminders were piling up. Some parents got a stack at once with no way to clear them. They're gone. The money card said "no date yet" about a fee that already had a due date. It shows the date now. And a fee sitting a while no longer disappears while you still owe it. If your school showed up as just "School", it sorts itself out. Settings used to say "Everything's working" while only checking your email. If notifications were off on your phone, it never mentioned it. Now it checks. Today opens with the thing that actually needs you, named.
