Tonal is built around local AI photo styling with a privacy first design. Your image information is handled through local processing only, image information is kept on the local user device, and when you delete image information it is removed from local storage. Tonal does not collect face data, does not create face templates, and does not keep a face profile database.
This app focuses on one clear workflow: pick one photo from your gallery, choose a built in style template, and create a new result with local AI guidance for tone, texture, and visual mood. The template set includes watercolor, ink, film, luminous shadowplay, crystallization, paper sculpture, and other artistic directions. The experience is intentionally simple so users can create quickly without advanced controls.
Tonal uses local AI oriented design language across the full flow, from template selection to result review. You can open the generated image in full quality, use compare mode when available to view original and styled versions side by side, and decide whether to keep, save, or share. This keeps creation practical for daily edits, visual experiments, and social content preparation without adding unnecessary steps.
Image information management also follows the same local AI and local storage principles. Generated works are stored on the local user device, organized in the in app gallery, and shown with creation time for easy review. You can preview past results, remove items you no longer need, and keep only the works you want to keep. When you delete content, that content is deleted from local storage.
The app includes clear agreement and policy entry points in Settings, plus straightforward permission prompts for gallery access. Tonal is designed to support local AI based style creation while keeping privacy behavior explicit and predictable: local processing only, local device retention only, user controlled deletion, and no face data collection.
