Secure Chat for BlackBerry
Mattermost Compatible
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Secure Chat for BlackBerry is an enterprise-ready messaging and collaboration platform that pairs the proven open-source Mattermost client with the BlackBerry Dynamics SDK. It delivers the real-time team communication your people expect — channels, direct messages, file sharing, and search — inside a hardened, containerized environment that your security and IT teams fully control.
POWERED BY THE BLACKBERRY DYNAMICS SDK
Built on the BlackBerry Dynamics SDK — the same technology trusted by governments and Fortune 500 enterprises — the app delivers three layers of protection. Strong authentication verifies every user before access is granted and integrates with your identity provider. A secure, encrypted container isolates all application data from personal apps and encrypts it at rest with FIPS-validated cryptography. And a VPN-less secure tunnel connects directly to your on-prem Mattermost servers, so corporate traffic reaches your infrastructure without exposing it to the open internet, opening firewall ports, or deploying a device-wide VPN.
SECURITY YOU CAN PROVE
Data-loss-prevention controls restrict copy, paste, screenshot, and "open in" actions so corporate information cannot leak into unmanaged apps. Jailbreak and root detection block compromised devices. Remote wipe lets administrators revoke access and erase app data instantly when a device is lost or an employee leaves — without touching personal content on the device.
FULL ENTERPRISE IT CONTROL
Deploy and manage at scale through BlackBerry UEM and your existing identity provider. Administrators set and enforce per-app policies — authentication strength, passcode rules, offline limits, and network access — without manual device setup. Certificate-based authentication and single sign-on streamline access while keeping it locked down.
BUILT FOR COMPLIANCE
Designed to help organizations meet frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR, and data-residency mandates. Self-hosted and private-cloud deployment keep your data on your infrastructure, in your jurisdiction.
