Jantri — Prayer Times

Almanac & Qibla

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Welcome to Jantri — a prayer-times almanac built with care for the Muslim community. What's inside: • Pick your prayer location once. Use your phone's GPS or choose any of 140+ Pakistani cities — the choice is saved across launches. Everything on the home and Jantri screens recomputes the moment you switch. • Daily prayer times with a live countdown to the next prayer: Fajr (Subh Sadiq), Tuloo e Aftab (sunrise), Zawal, Misl-e-Awwal, Asr Hanafi, Maghrib, Isha. Iftar and Sehri shown together at the bottom of the home screen. • The complete monthly Jantri table — flip through any of the 12 months, today's row highlighted in gold. • Calibrated for Shikarpur. When your location is Shikarpur, prayer times come from the printed Jantri compiled by Hakeem Molana Muhammad Fazlullah Soomro (RA), Shikarpur — credited on screen. For every other city, times are computed locally using the standard Karachi method with Hanafi Asr. • A Qibla compass that works anywhere. Bearing and distance to the Kaaba are computed live from your GPS — the gold tip points to Mecca, the white-highlighted cardinal shows the direction your phone is currently facing, and the labels stay anchored to true world-north as you turn the device. A calibration banner appears whenever the magnetometer is unreliable so you know when to wave the phone in a figure-8. • All 114 surahs of the Quran in Amiri Arabic with the English translation, searchable by name or meaning, Meccan/Medinan tags shown at a glance. • Light mode, dark mode, or follow-system. Persists across launches. • Native splash screen so the app opens straight into your dark-themed home — no white flash on cold start. • No ads. No tracking. No sign-up. No backend. Every prayer time is either bundled in the app or computed on-device from your coordinates; nothing leaves your phone. Location permission is used solely for the Qibla bearing and your live prayer-time location. If anything looks off — a time, a translation, a label — please get in touch through the About page. We'll fix it. May Allah accept your prayers.

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

• Offline prayer-time reminders for all five prayers. • Optional Makkah adhan sound. • Tasbih counter (new fifth tab). • Urdu Quran translation. • First-run onboarding. • Upcoming label uses the actual marker (Tuloo e Aftab, Zawal).
