Strigi is the tiny menu-bar utility that keeps your screen wide awake — exactly as long as you need.
One click on the owl icon, pick a duration, and Strigi prevents your screen from sleeping and the screensaver from starting. When the timer ends, your computer goes back to its normal sleep settings — no fuss, no leftover state. Need to switch durations on the fly? Click another preset. Need to stop early? Click "End." That's the whole app.
Built natively in Swift and SwiftUI for macOS Sonoma and newer, including macOS 26. Universal binary, fast, light. No accounts. No tracking. No telemetry. Ever.
WHAT YOU GET

• Custom duration window with hours-and-minutes pickers — plus a global default you set in Settings
• Live countdown shown in the menu while a session is active
• A checkmark next to the duration that's currently running, so you always know

• Global hotkey to toggle keep-awake from anywhere — ⌃⌥⌘S by default, fully customizable
• Shortcuts integration: Start, End, or Toggle a session from the Shortcuts app, Siri, or Automator
• Optional: launch automatically at login
• Two-state owl icon (idle vs. active) that fits naturally into the macOS menu bar
• Full English and German localization
• Optional tip jar in Settings — tips support development and unlock nothing; Strigi stays fully functional either way
• Sandboxed and signed by Apple — no special permissions required, no network access requested
PRIVACY
Strigi has no network features of its own. It does not collect or transmit any data. If you choose to leave a tip, the purchase is handled entirely by the App Store system — Strigi never sees any payment details. The only things stored locally are your hotkey choice and your custom-duration default — both kept inside the macOS sandbox container that belongs only to Strigi and removed automatically when you uninstall.
