Pop Translate lives in your menu bar and stays out of the way. Built for people who work between languages every day: expats reading menus and forms, developers parsing foreign docs, writers checking phrasing, support teams replying in 30+ languages.
INSTANT ACCESS
• ⌥Space from anywhere — customise the hotkey or right-click selected text in any app and choose "Translate with Pop Translate" from the Services menu.
• Auto-paste from clipboard. Copy a phrase, hit the hotkey, see the translation.
• Esc closes the popover. ⌘C copies the result.
SCAN ANYTHING
• Drag a box around any text on your screen — PDFs, screenshots, video frames, scanned docs, locked images.
• OCR runs on-device via Apple Vision. The image never leaves your Mac.
• Reaches text that Apple Translate and the Google Translate website can't.
SPEAK AND LISTEN
• Tap the mic and dictate. Apple Speech transcribes on-device when your Mac supports the language.
• Speak the translation back with native macOS voices.
CHOOSE DEEPL OR GOOGLE
• Google by default — fast, free, with a full dictionary: synonyms, transliteration, parts of speech and example sentences.
• One click switches to DeepL AI for premium accuracy on long-form text, business writing and technical documents.
• Your last choice sticks.

Auto-detect figures out the source language for you. A "Did you mean…?" hint catches typos.
PRIVACY
Voice dictation and screenshot OCR run on-device through Apple Speech and Apple Vision. Text you translate is sent only to the provider you choose, and only when you translate. Subscription billing is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details.
PRICING
Try Pop Translate free for 3 days. After the trial it is a small weekly subscription with full access to OCR scanning, voice dictation, DeepL AI and the full language list. Cancel anytime in System Settings.
