Nexus Dex
Go Pokédex Scanner & Trades
Only for iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
Never miss an event again. Remind me now puts a live countdown on your Lock Screen an hour before, flips to on now, and clears when the event ends!
Scan your Pokémon GO Pokédex live. Nexus Dex updates what you are missing across every Pokédex as you scroll: Shiny, Lucky, XXL, XXS, G-Max, Mega, Shadow, Purified and Perfect (100% IV).
Then add friends to compare gaps, find the trades that fill both Pokédexes, and see which events to play. Scanning is free forever and runs entirely on your device.
HOW IT WORKS
Open your Pokédex in Pokémon GO and start a live scan. The Nexus Dex HUD floats over the game, shows which entries are confirmed and tells you when to keep scrolling. Tap a Pokémon in the game and Nexus Dex reads its CP, IVs and moves. You can also upload screenshots of a Pokémon or a Pokédex page. Curated dexes such as Dynamax stay in step with what is released in the game and update with each event.
KEY FEATURES
- Every Pokédex type in one place: what you have, what you are missing and what is available in Pokémon GO, with released and unreleased totals tracked for Shiny, Shadow, Purified, XXS, XXL, Mega and G-Max.
- Friend Dex: add friends and compare Pokédex completion instantly. See what they need and what they can trade you. When both of you are up to date, trades match automatically; propose them in app or with a shareable trade card you can share.
- Wish list and search: pick what you are chasing, then check whether you hold something a friend has on their wish list, with a copy-to-clipboard search string for the game.
- Events that fit your Pokédex: all released information about Pokémon GO events in your local time, ranked by what you are missing. GO Fest, Spotlight Hours, Community Days, raids and Super Mega raids, research and ticketed events, with one-tap add to any calendar app. Event data by LeekDuck.com, with thanks to them for sharing it for the community.
- Trainer profile: answer a short questionnaire and your profile shows only what matters to you, including your top 40 missing Pokémon.
- Pro search system: build custom searches from your real gaps to share with friends, and find safe Pokémon to transfer while protecting your treasured, rare, costume, shiny and strong mons. Make room and keep catching.

more I’ve tried SO many Pokémon apps, and I even got to the point where I was trying to build my own because I couldn’t find one that had everything I wanted in one place. Then I found Nexus Dex—and it literally has everything I was looking for. 🙌🏾The app is incredibly well thought out, constantly improving, and the developers are actually LISTENING to their users. I’ve submitted suggestions directly through the app and have already seen changes being made. There have been three updates in just the last few days! That says a lot about how committed they are to making this app better.I genuinely don’t understand why more people aren’t talking about Nexus Dex. I happily pay the monthly subscription because it is 100% worth it. If you’re serious about Pokémon GO, you absolutely need to check this app out.Keep up the amazing work, Nexus Dex team! 👏🏾🔥 You’ve got a fan for life! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

1.9.9 Oct 8
- Thanks to user's who gave us feedback about their concerns about profile uploads. Nexus Dex takes data security and your privacy very seriously. Your privacy comes first and although we protect your data in many ways (encrypted, secure storage, limited access are just a few of the measures in place). We chose to listen and act on the feedback we heard. You will receive a detailed email update on this change, what actions we are taking and why we decided to do it, shortly.
What's changed in this version:
- Nexus Dex no longer asks for a screenshot of your Pokémon GO profile. All data we held from those screenshots has been deleted.
- The first time you open this version, type in and confirm your trainer name and level. Two short inputs, and that name is how friends find you from now on.
- Signing up is quicker: create your account, type your trainer name and level, and you are in.
- Change your name or level in one row at the top of Settings > Account.
- Fixes and polish across sign-in, notifications and Live Scan.
1.9.8 Oct 2
Huge update today...how huge? MAX HUGE!!!
• New MAX Battles page under BattleHub: this rotation's D-MAX and G-MAX bosses, your best team of three (Pro), your MAX coverage across all 18 types (Pro), and your MAX roster grouped by max attack level.
• D-MAX and G-MAX cloud aura added; on the HUD, My Pokémon and detail pages.
• Max move levels show as three dots everywhere, including on each D-MAX & G-MAX Pokémon.
My Pokémon
• Favourite star: star a Pokémon on its detail page to protect it from deletion, including from showing up in Box Cleanup. Starred Pokémon wear a star on their row and have their own Starred sort and filter.
• New add to Trade list: trade toggle added on rows and record pages lists a Pokémon for trading. Your list appears on each friend's Potential Trades, ready to offer with one tap.
• Best / IV% toggle switches every ring between the best league reading and plain IVs. Tap it again to sort by that reading, and again to flip the order.
• Sorting gains: Starred, HP and Rank #, and tapping your sort a second time reverses it.
• Filters are more compact, with Type as a grid of 18 icon tiles and Region in two rows, on My Pokémon, Nexus Dex and Trade pages.
• Longer nicknames now show in full on My Pokémon page.
Pokémon Detail pages
• Edit IVs by dragging a dot on each bar, then save. If the saved CP and HP cannot fit the new IVs, both clear for you to update.
• Swipe a scanned tag left to remove it.
Live Scan
• Fixed a false shiny read on some Pokémon and Dynamax not being detected when the HUD card covered the label.
• Cleaned up the live scan when no IVs showing to no longer just text information
• Strong showcase scoring mons call it out on HUD during scan
Enjoy!
1.9.6 Sep 29
- Massive live Pokédex scanner upgrade to show entire dex grid so you can see all numbers as they are detected on the HUD; Red for not caught, orange for seen/ not caught, white for new capture, green for caught/ already in Nexus Dex.
- HUGE improvement to scan accuracy and solved some of the challenges we faced with small sprites being not detected (this one was really 'bugging' us so we're really excited for you to use it and enjoy the next level accuracy.
- Fixed issue with live scan broadcast; when stop pressed "Start Broadcast" was showing as live broadcast session connector with Nexus Dex was lost due to changes with latest iOS 26.7 update. This now brings the session back up so it can be closed.
- Minor other bug fixes
1.9.5 Sep 24
NEW Showcase page added (Pro): Exciting to see exactly which mons are your best for Showcase points by type. Scans record weight & height to enable the score calculation. NOTE: most heights are blocked by leader's head during IV appraisal, to get around this: during scan slightly move height into clear space (to the right) and hold for 1s and the scanner will update the mon's record. so you don't have to jump in and out of appraisal screen.
- Box Cleanup: one-tap searches for keepers and the rest, a clear delete button, and a jump straight to Pokémon GO with the relevant search strings to make clean-up easier.
- Smarter scanning: Poison-type pages are no longer mistaken for Shadow.
- Scan a Pokémon whose CP is hidden and Nexus Dex works it out from the HP and IVs, on the HUD and on the record.
- One record per Pokémon: repeated frames of the same Pokémon no longer create twins.
- My Pokémon lists in the order you scanned, so editing a CP stops moving it to the top and no longer loses your place down the list.
- NEW Update all - fills every blank CP with the right CP based on that mon's IV/ HP and merges duplicates in one tap for fast and efficient list clean up.
- NEW My Pokemon filters added to filter by 'No CP', 'No IVs', 'No moves', 'No size info' and Select all added to allow for mass tidy-up if needed.
- Buddy levels added to My Pokemon: mark Good, Great, Ultra or Best Buddy; every level counts for buddy showcases.
- Destiny picks now respect costumes (and certain Pokémon's inability to evolve), gender-locked destiny evolution recommendations (important for Pokémon with gender based evolution such as Combee).
1.9.4 Sep 20
- Bug fix: On certain devices with certain fps, the scanner was confusing frame rate for continuous scrolling and therefore never switched to IV scan when HUD is in top right position on screen. Resolved.
- HUD on iOS cleaned up & now using the space better; best league IV% larger and Top 1% call out more visible when a top mon is scanned.
- Shadow, Shiny and Lucky mons now detected by scanner and their respective graphics added to HUD.
- HUD switching from portrait to landscape reduced to only switch if shifting to dex scan vs. horizontal as the default.
- Starting a live scan now auto-switches to Pokémon GO on broadcast activation.
- Name convention trigger conditions fine-tuned.
1.9.2 Sep 18
- IV bug fix; yesterday's scanner CP identification fix slightly moved where the scanner was looking for IVs meaning it no longer detected them on some devices. This has been resolved with a new calibration protocol so it adjusts to find where IVs are on each device first.
- BattleHub; added 2 tabs to the Top 10 for each type (Best of that type and best counters from your scanned mons).
- and Rocket page gets a better navigation system with type links at the top to make it easier to find the grunt type you are looking for. This page also gets a floating double arrow up to navigate back up to the links easily from anywhere on the page.
- Flabébé flickering scanner issue fixed.
- Added Box Cleanup pairing on same IVs to ensure box merging is efficient and picks up as many duplicates as possible.
1.9.1 Sep 17
- Showcase score: see what your XXL and XXS Pokémon are worth at a PokéStop Showcase.
- Sort My Pokémon two ways at once, plus Biggest and Smallest sorts and Size filter added.
- Box Cleanup finds the Pokémon saved twice/ double scans and enables merge/ undo, and lists scans a screenshot would finish.
- Scan updated to recognise new GO Battle League season's moves, including Mega Houndoom's Dark Pulse+.
- Fixes: a pink Pokédex page no longer marks an XXL you don't have, CP reads no longer pick up the scan card itself, and CSV imports from Android tuned to work.
1.9.0 Sep 16
Team GO Rocket, countered:
- NEW Rocket page shows every current line-up, Giovanni, leaders and down to the last grunt, with the shadow mons you can catch marked.
- PRO users get further detail under each Rocket member; your best three from your uploaded Pokémon, with a TM move suggestion when a move change would make impact.
- CP and HP editing rebuilt as we know it was causing a few of you some issues. Two sliders now in sync for CP & HP. Set either number and the other follows your Pokémon's IVs (if there is an error in the calculations please let us know, you can override them by typing over the top of both).
- Mega and Dynamax dexes get another row allowing you to flick between Shiny, 100%, Lucky, XXL and XXS on the topline Mega and Dynamax dex and tick them across the whole dex in one pass.
- Also: costume Pokémon no longer show an evolution they cannot have, the stardust planner lists more picks, bigger sprites in My Pokémon.
- Quick link now set up between a Pokémon and its Pokédex page, and the Add Friend sheet stays clear of the keyboard.
Please consider leaving us a review on the app store as this really helps.
Enjoy and thanks for the support!

1.8.6 Sep 4
Happy Mega Finale week!
Huge update and some cool new features:
- Dynamax dex is now a toggle on each Pokemon species page that has a Dynamax form, so you can track across all the different dexes such as shiny/ lucky/ sizes (this one came from user feedback, so thank you for taking the time to feed it through.)
- Scanner given a complete overhaul, faster and sharper than ever. Removed a weird stall bug after scanning for a while. Fxed the "too blurry: ease" issue. Mons already registered now show as scanned with inverted colour (like a Pokéball so you know when you've hit a patch you've already registered).
- Better 'how to live scan' guides added with best placement for the Nexus Dex HUD to streamline your scans for dex and mon scans so you can get the best results faster.
- Nexus Dex HUD got a make over, and introducing Destiny for Pokemon scans. Destiny is the best target for that Pokemon with the IVs it has, as an example if you scan a Charmander with 0/13/15 IVs the HUD now shows Charizard #1 ranked in Ultra league so you know then and there what that mon's best potential league is.
- Destiny is also now built into the naming engine, which has got a huge clean up with added mechanics as well as scanner tuning to recognise the superscript/ subscript and bubbles on names.
Enjoy and happy hunting during GO Fest: Mega Finale week!
1.8.5 Aug 31
Naming Studio update:
- Naming Studio (Pro): put each Pokémon's stats in its name, ready to paste into GO's rename box. Build your own template part by part: IVs, percents, CP, level, league percents and true PvP ranks, in superscript, subscript or circled digits, with maxed stats popping in dark circles. Save your favourite layouts as presets.
- Naming sessions (Pro): rename your mons with minimal back and forth pasting. Select your preset naming convention, pick a scope (best first, hundos, Great League, Ultra League), reflect this in game and sort by CP high to low, and the next name is automatically copied to your clipboard (no annoying switching back and forth). The floating window shows who is next and pressing the centre button moves your clipboard to the next Pokémon ready to paste, the full queue is tappable in Nexus Dex so you can jump to start anywhere.
- Box Cleanup (Pro): New feature to clear the clutter and keep the keepers. Big dents builds one search per pile-up in your scanned Pokémon, cross-checked so your keepers are never transferred out, and every candidate has a one tap find, transfer, confirm run. No renaming needed. (perfect for after a comm day IV check frenzy)
- Transfer timing: candy and Candy XL transfer bonus events surface where you clean up, so you can set reminders in calendar and in-app to remind you to transfer when the 2x transfer candy bonus is live.
- Cloud backup (Pro): your scanned Pokémon backs up automatically and restore on a new device.
- Pokemon scans can also tick your Pokédex for you (toggle now in Settings).
- Smarter trade tools: copy strings in your Potential trades page so you can search your GO for exactly what mons your friends need to fill their dex.
- Fixes: live scanning can no longer untick caught dex entries, and form ticks light up correctly everywhere.

• A faster start. Sign-up goes straight to the guided tour instead of stacking intro screens and questions in front of your first scan.
• Look around before you set up. You can explore the app before adding your Pokémon GO profile screenshot. Live Scan still needs it so it can write to your Nexus Dex profile.

- Battle Hub; the live GO Battle League meta for Great, Ultra and Master leagues, with each pick's recommended moveset, and filters for type and region. Rankings from PvPoke.
- Quick Update: Post-event: when an event finishes, tick off what you caught in one go instead of hunting through your dex for each one.
- Who can get you this? On any mon detail page, see which friends already have the one you're missing, and go straight to a trade with them.
- New global menu: packed with new features everyday, we needed a new place to house them, including Bulk Update and your Wish List.
- Compare dexes, rebuilt: Dex Score rates how hard your collection is rather than how big, alongside points for your rarest entries such as mythical and shundos.
- A clear history chart; real totals for both trainers, dates you can actually read, and cuts by Week, Fortnight or Month.
- Minor bug fixes; corrected dex counts behind the charts, trades now say plainly when a Lucky or 100% is only a chance, and smoother swiping between pages.
