What's New Voice & video calls Make 1:1 voice and video calls right from Messages. Start group calls, and add people while a call is going. Minimize a call and keep using the app. Video carries on in picture-in-picture, and you can drag your own view anywhere. Calls now ring even when the app is closed. Call history got a new look, and you can open it from the Messages header. End-to-end encrypted chats Messages, photos, videos, voice notes and GIFs can now be end-to-end encrypted. Check a chat's security code by scanning a QR code. Notifications for encrypted chats don't include the message content. Messages Edit a message for up to 15 minutes after sending it. A new composer with a "+" menu for attachments. Search your inbox or a single conversation and jump straight to a result. See who's active now, and browse a chat's Media & Links. Group chats show who has seen a message. Photos appear in the chat the moment you send them. Whispers Send a whisper inside a message. Reply to an anonymous whisperer from Messages. The thread joins your regular chat when they reveal who they are. Edit your own whispers. More Long-press Compose to pick Post or Whisper. Long-press any post or whisper to open its options. Story reactions float up the screen. Clips: the comments sheet now slides up smoothly. Add your birthday, with a new scrolling date picker. New security options: sign out on all your other devices, and confirm it's you before sensitive account changes. Bug fixes and smoother tab switching and bottom sheets.

A smoother sidebar. • Opening the menu now slides the screen aside to make room for it, instead of covering it up. • The menu tracks your finger properly — flick it and it snaps open, drag it gently and it eases into place. • Fixed the icons in Settings → Appearance → Tab Bar so they match the options they set.

Market Prices now shows how each price has moved. • Gold, silver, fuel, and forex rates display a green up or red down arrow with the exact change and percentage. • Every change is labelled with the date it's compared against, so you always know what "up" or "down" is measured from. • Prices that haven't moved are marked clearly, instead of showing nothing.
