A Pleasant Surprise

This app really surprised me. I have used pretty much every mainstream mail app available for Mac. The first thing that took me by surprise was how effortlessly it set up all my email accounts. I have three business emails, plus my personal email. My personal one is obviously via iCloud. But my others are all tied to my business websites. I won’t name names, but there is one popular email app that I consistently had trouble with getting it to set up these accounts. They are IMAP accounts, but I always got a connect error. With Epistle I had no issues at all. It instantly accepted my account info for each and set them up. When I downloaded the mobile version of the app, it quickly transferred those accounts to my iPad and iPhone. I realize there is a review from a user who had IMAP issues. All I can tell you is that I did not and it actually went very well. I also like the clean look and the bit of color in its design. It also grabbed all the proper sender images and icons with no prompting or tweaking from me. All and all … I am quite happy at the moment. Different people can have different experiences. I say give it a try and see what your’s is.

Tremendous Strides and a Great App

I have been looking for an alternative to Spark for a while, and Epistles is the answer. Sure, there have been some hiccups with the roll out of the platform, but that is to be expected for a new platform. Spark experienced the same growing pains. The Support team at Epistles Mail has been very responsive, and I have appreciated this.The app has a great interface and it is very polished. The syncing is great and there is deep customization options available to accommodate all user types. Epistles Mail is now my primary email client and I will not be renewing my subscription to Spark.

Sure, there have been some hiccups with the roll out of the platform, but that is to be expected for a new platform. Spark experienced the same growing pains. Been testing this out since the beta stages and glad to see the hourly and daily updates that the developer have done with the app! Looks to be extremely promising of a Spark replacement for me. Been loving it on MacOS and iOS the past few weeks. The developer is very active on Reddit and taking constant feedback from users and fixing everything as fast as possible which is such a refreshing thing to see. Keep up the great work! I know you guys will address any issue that we send to you!

Epistles 2.2.0 is our biggest update yet. Widgets • Home-screen widgets for your inbox, tasks and calendar. Make it yours • Calm themes and your own accent color. • Choose the app's font. • More app icons to pick from. • iPhone now works in landscape. Mail • Move or copy messages to another account: Gmail, Outlook, Fastmail, iCloud and IMAP. • See your history with someone without leaving what you are doing. • Sort by size to find the messages that take the most space, or show only messages with attachments. • More ways to snooze. • Mark several messages as spam and block their senders at once. • Search shows which results are in Trash or Spam, and can leave them out. • Long-press a link to open it in the browser of your choice, or an address to see what you can do with it. • Move a recipient between To, Cc and Bcc from its menu. • Suggestions in To, Cc and Bcc now come from the account you are sending from. • Remove a label with the × on its tag. Calendar, contacts and tasks • The month view scrolls on through the weeks instead of stopping at the end of a month. • Search your events. • Choose which task lists appear on the calendar, so Todoist tasks no longer show twice. • Choose which address books you see, and where new contacts go. • Resync one account's calendars and contacts, without removing the account. • Collapse sections in Tasks. Fixes • Calendars on Stalwart and other self-hosted JMAP servers sync again, without doubled events. • An iCloud account with an expired password asks to be reconnected instead of flickering. • A Microsoft account that cannot open its mailbox now says what to do. • Pictures in newsletters no longer stay blank. • Repeating events can be created on Outlook calendars again. • The inbox's top buttons respond while mail is arriving. • Settings are grouped the same way as on your computer.
