Choose a folder, build simple rules, preview what will happen, then let Rulewright handle the cleanup in the background. It is designed for everyday file automation without asking for broad system access. Rulewright can help organize screenshots, downloads, documents, media files, project folders, archives, and anything else you choose to watch.
What Rulewright Can Do
Create rules for watched folders using conditions like:
• File name, extension, path, and contents
• File kind
• Date created or modified
• Tags, comments, and Finder color labels
• Size and age-based checks
• Then apply actions such as:
Move or copy files to another folder
• Rename files with reusable pattern substitutions
• Sort files into subfolders
• Move files to the Trash
• Add or remove tags
• Set Finder color labels
• Set Finder comments
• Open files, reveal them in Finder, or show notifications
• Run matching rules in order, with preview support before you commit
Preview Before You Run
Rulewright shows what each rule will do before it changes anything. You can see which files match, which actions would run, and what will be left untouched.
Sandbox-Friendly By Design
Rulewright only works with folders you explicitly choose. Watched folders and destination folders are granted by you, and Rulewright stays inside those boundaries.
No Full Disk Access is required for normal use.
Background Automation
Once configured, Rulewright can keep watching your chosen folders and run rules automatically in the background. You can also run rules manually whenever you want.
