The whole scene, verified — this update makes Gazetz's trust engine tamper-proof and live coverage truly collaborative. • Live coverage, together: fellow reporters can now join a live story as co-authors, and readers can send the writer prompts in real time • Journals: open review notes are live — attach citations, replication reports, and challenges to any published section, on the record • Verification you can trust: witness and confirmation counts are now maintained entirely by our servers, so no one can game them • Tighter privacy: your email and home location are no longer visible to other users — profiles share only what you choose • Magazines on the web: every magazine now has a shareable page at gazetz.com, and issue emails reach all of your subscribers • A one-time birthday check at sign-in — Gazetz is for ages 13 and up, and your birth date is never stored • Fresh copy and fixes throughout

This update makes reporting more reliable and your reputation more meaningful. • Accuracy-based Rep — Your reporter score now reflects how accurate your reporting actually turns out to be. When the community verifies the doodles and stories you post, your Rep climbs. It's earned on the scene, not gamed. • Rock-solid photo & video posting — Fixed an issue that could stop a photo from posting, sped up photo capture (no more "Checking photos…" hang), and added a clear "Add photo or video" button so attaching to a story is one tap. • Clearer errors — If an upload can't go through, you'll now get a plain-English reason and a fix instead of a silent failure. • Stay up to date — Gazetz now lets you know right in the app when a newer version is ready. Thanks for reporting with us. Keep covering your community.

Reputation you earn — not buy. • Real accuracy scores: a reporter's reputation now rises when their reporting is confirmed by on-scene witnesses, and falls when it's disputed. Being right is what counts. • Track record on every profile: see verified stories, reputation, and accuracy at a glance. • Smoother update prompts and reliability improvements throughout.

Nosy News is now GAZETZ! Same mission — your community's stories, told by the people who were actually there — now with a bold new name, a neon new look, and a faster, sharper app. • Brand-new GAZETZ identity: new name, logo, and app icon • Refreshed neon design across the whole app • Home Screen widget + Live Activities for breaking local coverage • Faster launch and stability improvements Your account, stories, doodles, and papers all carry over — nothing to do on your end. Thanks for reporting with us.

• Newspaper Reader View — read a developed story like an old-fashioned paper. Serif headlines, dateline, drop cap, "with reporting by…" credits. • One story, many builders — when neighbors drop doodles on a story, the AI folds them into a single, integrated narrative. No more reading a base post plus a list of comments. • Repost — share another reporter's story to your followers, X-style. • Primary-source documents — attach a PDF, scan, court filing, or agenda as evidence on any story. Renders with a "PRIMARY SOURCE" chip. • Public Safety Bulletin — clearly-labeled mode for active community-safety reports (suspicious individual, missing person, person of interest). • Lock as Final Edition — close a story to new contributions when it's done. Corrections still welcome. • Pledge a coverage bounty — chip in $1–$25 to reward whoever covers a request you care about. Reporter gets 85%. • Archive search — search every story on Nosy News, not just the latest 50. • Launch a school paper, church bulletin, or clinical journal with the right photo policy for your community, and designate moderators to approve submissions. • Email your magazine issue to subscribers, in one tap. • Tighter photo safeguards — faces and license plates blurred by default, EXIF stripped, explicit content auto-blocked. I'm building Nosy News on my own. Feedback: info@nosynews.com. — Ryan

Privacy + safety • Photos now auto-blur faces on-device before upload. The selfie heuristic asks you before blurring obvious self-portraits, and there's an explicit consent toggle for when you have permission from folks in the frame. • "Hide exact location" action on stories you've already filed — your home address can't show up retroactively. Randomizes the pin within ~500m and trims the dateline to the town only. Editorial • Opinion pieces are now labeled "OPINION" everywhere they appear. Opinions can't claim the Front Page lead and can't be witness-attested, so reporting and opinion never blur together. • Reporter Track Record on every profile — % of stories backed by 3+ witnesses, % at-scene. The editorial answer to a paid blue check: credibility comes from witnesses, not money. • Witness Timeline — every story now has a forensic record. A map shows where each witness was standing and a chronology of when they attested. Tap "Witnesses" on any story. • "Drop a Doodle" → "Witness this story" with a one-line explainer. The new label tells you what tapping it does. Discovery • Town Knowledge Graph: search now has a date-range picker and a "witness-backed only" toggle. Ask "what happened here, when, that the community actually backed." • Profile gained a Publish section pinning Papers, Magazines, and Journals one tap away. • Front Page lead is now reserved for stories with at least one witness — a brand-new post with zero verification won't claim the masthead. Monetization • Featured Story Boost: authors can pay $5 / $12 / $25 to pin their story to the top of the local feed for 24h / 3 days / 1 week. Boosted stories are clearly labeled "SPONSORED BY AUTHOR" everywhere — FTC-compliant native advertising. Quality • Fixed the sign-in race that could throw "Not signed in" on a first post. • Back button works correctly after publishing. • Sign-up fits on iPhone 17. • Following and Alerts tabs load properly. • Tap-to-dismiss-keyboard no longer steals the first tap on buttons. • You'll get an in-app banner the moment a new version is live in the App Store. Keep posting, keep witnessing, and tell me when something breaks.
