Retro Vintage Photo Lab turns your photos into authentic film photographs on Mac. Choose from 12 vintage effects — Sepia Tone, Black & White, Vintage Faded, Retro Cross-Process, Aged Paper, Classic TV, HDR Style, Color Tint, Vignette, Soft Blur, Film Grain, and Halation — then dial in each effect with dedicated sliders.
FILM STOCKS
Apply looks from 40 named film stocks across six categories. Color Negative: Kodak Portra 160, 400, and 800; Kodak Gold 200, ColorPlus 200, Ektar 100; Fujifilm Superia 400, C200, Pro 400H; Kodak Ultramax 400. Slide Film: Kodak Ektachrome E100, Fujifilm Velvia 50 and 100, Provia 100F, Kodachrome 64, Kodak Elite Chrome 100. Black & White: Kodak Tri-X 400, T-Max 100 and 400; Ilford HP5 Plus, Delta 3200, FP4 Plus, Pan F Plus 50; Fujifilm Acros 100 II. Instant: Polaroid SX-70, 600, and Spectra; Fuji Instax Mini and Wide. Cinema: Kodak Vision3 500T, 250D, and 200T; Fujifilm Eterna 500 and Eterna Vivid.
Each stock uses an ISO-calibrated grain profile. Fine T-grain for slow stocks, coarse silver-halide character for high-speed emulsions. A luminance-sensitive compositing engine applies grain strongest in shadows and smooths it in highlights.
MANUAL TONAL CONTROL
Adjust exposure, brightness, contrast, highlights, shadows, saturation, vibrance, warmth, and sharpness. Edit the master RGB tone curve and individual Red, Green, and Blue channels for precise color work. Split-toning adds warm or cool tints to highlights and shadows independently, with a balance slider.
FILM OVERLAYS & BORDERS
Add six light-leak types: Warm Edge, Corner Flare, Rainbow Leak, Film Gate Leak, Sunburst Leak, and Vintage Fog. Layer six texture overlays: Film Dust, Paper Grain, Scratches, Chemical Stain, Canvas Weave, and Darkroom Paper. Frame images in seven film border styles — Polaroid, 35mm, Medium Format, Slide Mount, Instax Mini, Darkroom Print, and Rounded Vintage. Add a date stamp in Courier font at any corner of the image.
BEFORE / AFTER & HISTOGRAM
Drag the reveal slider to compare your original and edited image side by side. The built-in histogram shows tonal distribution in real time as you adjust.
SAVE PRESETS & EXPORT
Save complete editing configurations as named presets and reuse them across photos. Export finished images in PNG, JPEG, HEIC, or TIFF. JPEG and HEIC export include quality control.
All processing runs locally on your Mac. No network connection, no account, and no subscription required.
