What’s New in Version 1.1.0
This update improves reliability, communication, and the provider experience across Mentor & Guide.
New App Update Experience
We added an in-app update system to help ensure users are always on a supported version of the app. When an important update is required, the app can now show a clear update message and guide users to the App Store or Google Play.
Improved Provider Profile Updates
Provider profile update flows have been improved so professional details, service categories, and profile review states stay better synchronized after admin review. Providers should now see more accurate status updates after their profile changes are reviewed.
Better Profile Completion Experience
Profile completion items are now easier to manage, with clearer dedicated flows for updating important provider profile sections.
Notifications Improvements
We improved backend-driven notifications so provider activity, account updates, payment updates, and review-related events can be shown more consistently inside the app.
Email and Admin Communication Enhancements
Transactional emails are now better connected to the admin-managed email template system, helping ensure providers receive clearer and more consistent messages when important account or application events happen.
Stability and Permission Fixes
This version includes fixes for Firestore permission issues that could prevent some providers from saving profile updates or viewing notification activity.
General Improvements
We made several small UX, routing, and reliability improvements across onboarding, provider dashboard, profile management, and app startup.

This release includes stability, localization, and build improvements:
- Fixed iOS EAS build configuration issue caused by Expo autolinking resolution.
- Improved app translation coverage across English, Arabic, and French.
- Synced Expo translation keys with Firebase-backed CMS translations.
- Added missing map and location fallback translations.
- Removed hardcoded fallback text from several UI areas so backend translation edits apply correctly.
- Improved i18n validation tooling to detect missing, unused, or hardcoded translation strings.
- Added automated checks to help prevent future untranslated UI text.
- Verified Firebase translation coverage: all bundled app keys now exist in EN/AR/FR.
- General UX and reliability fixes from recent provider onboarding, certificate upload, disclaimer, support, and profile availability updates.

Here's what's in v1.0.4, split by what's in the mobile build vs what's a backend/infrastructure change (Cloud Functions and Admin panel don't ship in the app bundle):
In the mobile app bundle (what coaches see)
Payment failed recovery — on the "My Subscriptions" screen, coaches with a payment_failed recurring agreement now see a red warning banner explaining what happened, with a "Re-subscribe Now" button that takes them directly to the payment screen to set up a new subscription. Previously the screen showed a failed badge with no way to recover.
Backend & infrastructure (deployed separately, powers the platform)
Subscription expiry enforcement — one-time subscriptions now actually expire. A Cloud Function runs at 1AM UTC daily, finds coaches whose subscriptionEnd has passed and have no active recurring agreement, and sets their profile to expired / hidden. This was previously never enforced — coaches stayed active forever after their paid period ended.
7-day renewal reminder emails — coaches on a one-time subscription now receive an automated email 7 days before their subscription expires, prompting them to renew. Those on recurring plans are skipped (they auto-renew anyway).
Admin retry for failed recurring charges — admins can now click "Reset & Retry Tonight" on a payment_failed recurring agreement detail page to clear the failure count and reactivate it for the next scheduler run, without having to cancel and recreate the agreement.
Email templates — subscription_expired and subscription_renewal_reminder templates seeded to Firestore in EN/AR/FR.
