Usage Tracker for Claude AI is an independent third-party Safari extension for monitoring your usage limits on claude.ai, exporting chat history to Markdown, and continuing long conversations seamlessly. Built for subscribers who want clear visibility into their session and weekly usage — directly inside the claude.ai sidebar, with one-click export and resume.
This is an unofficial utility. It is not made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Anthropic, the makers of Claude. It works with your existing claude.ai account and the publicly available endpoints that claude.ai itself uses to display your usage.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Install the extension and enable it in Safari → Settings → Extensions
2. Visit claude.ai or claude.ai/code — the usage panel appears automatically in the sidebar
3. Your 5-hour and weekly limits update in real time
4. Click "Export" on any conversation to save it as Markdown
5. Choose 20%, 50%, or 100% of recent messages
6. Optionally auto-open a new chat with the exported content already pasted

FAQ
Q: Does this work with the Claude command-line tool?
A: It works on the web version at claude.ai/code. The terminal CLI is a separate product and is not tracked by this extension.
Q: Does it track Opus usage separately?
A: It tracks two limits: your 5-hour session and your 7-day all-models usage. These are the limits claude.ai exposes through its own interface. There is no separate per-model counter at this time.
Q: Where does my data go?
A: Nowhere. The extension reads your usage from the same endpoint claude.ai uses to render the limits in your own browser session. Nothing is sent to any third party.
Q: Will this work with my subscription plan?
A: Yes for Free, Pro, Max, and Team accounts. The extension reads whatever limits claude.ai reports for your account.
Q: Why does the sidebar disappear sometimes?
A: claude.ai re-renders its sidebar during navigation. The extension automatically re-attaches the panel within a second.
