EDID Editor is a professional macOS utility for viewing and editing Extended Display Identification Data (EDID)—the binary profile your display sends to a Mac, PC, or GPU. Whether you tune monitor firmware, validate production images, or patch timing descriptors in the field, EDID Editor gives you a focused workspace instead of a generic hex editor. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Open, create, and save EDID binary files (.bin or raw data) • Work with 128-byte base blocks and multi-block images (256, 384 bytes, and more) • Switch between Byte mode (per-byte editing) and Structure mode (semantic fields with forms) • Navigate a parsed EDID tree—header, vendor ID, timings, descriptors, extensions—and jump to bytes instantly • Edit common fields such as manufacturer ID, product code, serial number, standard timings, and more • Rely on automatic per-block checksum updates after you change data bytes • Validate files on open: fixed header, version, block checksums, and extension count • Copy selections as hex or C array literals for firmware workflows • Choose English or Simplified Chinese in Preferences (default: English) DESIGNED FOR TECHNICAL WORK • Clean, ImHex-inspired layout: structure sidebar, central editor, and status bar • Color-coded semantic regions in the hex view • Highlights for modified bytes versus the last saved baseline • Built-in illustrated tutorial (Help → EDID Editor Help, ⌘?)
