My story
I'm Sergey. In 2018 I earned an International Master of Sports title in compound archery and won the
Grand Prix of Astana in 2021. Then life took me away from the range for five years.
When I came back, I knew exactly what I'd lost: cadence. Hold time. The rhythm of expansion that
separates a clean release from a finger-snatched one. I looked for an app that could track those things
at the line, on my wrist, without breaking my routine.
It didn't exist, so I built it. ArrowTempo is the training tool I needed for my own comeback — and it's the tool I wish
I'd had at the top of my career.
How it works
- Wear Apple Watch on your release-hand wrist
- Tap Start Session — that's the last time you touch a screen until you're pulling arrows
- The watch's motion sensors and microphone work together: it detects each shot by matching the motion
of the release against its sound
- For every shot it records your hold time — how long your bow arm stays up and steady before the
release — plus heart rate and a running arrow count
- Review on your phone after the session — every arrow, every metric (or follow along live while you
shoot)

Shot detection runs entirely on your device. Audio is analyzed in real time and never recorded or sent

Ratings & Reviews
• Bow presets — save multiple bows (compound, recurve, traditional,
longbow, barebow) with their own draw weight and length. Mark one as
default.
• Pick the active bow on your watch at the start of every session.
• Calorie estimates now use the active preset's draw weight and
length.
• Session history records which bow you shot with, so past sessions
stay accurate even if you rename or delete a preset later.
• Presets sync across your iPhones via iCloud.
