Quiet Budget

Manual, private budgeting.

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Budgeting that doesn't shout. Quiet Budget is a calm, manual money tracker, no bank linking, no ads, no notifications nagging you about a $4 coffee. Every transaction goes in by hand, on purpose, so you actually notice where your money's going. The mainstream finance apps want to connect to your bank, parse your accounts, and monetize your data. Quiet Budget does none of that. No bank connections. No ads. No analytics. The app works fully offline with no account at all — your money is your business. WHAT'S INSIDE (FREE) - Manual entry for income, expenses, transfers, and balance adjustments - Multiple accounts — checking, savings, cash, credit cards — all tracked by hand - Category budgets with month-over-month visibility - A "Quiet Money Left" view that tells you what you actually have to spend - Notes on every transaction so you remember why you bought it - Full history with search and filters - CSV export for full data portability - Hide-balances toggle for when you're in public QUIET PLUS (OPTIONAL UPGRADE) - Plan — zero-based budgeting, so every dollar has a job - Save up for big future bills - Savings goals you can actually see progress on - Recurring calendar for payments and subscriptions, so nothing slips through - Trends and deeper insights - Debt payoff tools — watch an extra payment move your debt-free date - Rose theme - Optional account and cloud sync, to keep your budget across devices or share it with a partner Quiet Plus pricing: - Monthly — $2.99 per month - Yearly — $24.99 per year - Lifetime — $69.99, one time Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings. Lifetime is a one-time purchase and never renews. PRIVACY, FOR REAL Quiet Budget is local-first. With no account, everything stays on your device — nothing is transmitted, and there is nothing for us to collect. There is no advertising, no tracking and no analytics SDK anywhere in the app, on any tier. Only if you choose to turn on the optional account and sync does any of your data leave your device — encrypted in transit and stored in a private space tied to your account. We never sell it, mine it, or advertise against it. You can export everything, or delete your account and its synced copy, at any time from inside the app. WHO IT'S FOR People who tried YNAB, Mint, Monarch, or Copilot and bounced off the complexity or the bank-linking requirement. People who want to be intentional with money without being surveilled. People who like the friction of writing things down because it makes them think. Navi adjusts your budget. Under Give a job on the Plan tab, "Have Navi adjust my budget" drafts the whole month from your bills, minimums, goals and the last three months of spending — on your phone. Every line comes with a reason and a slider: drag it, and the plan keeps adding up. Nothing is written until you tap Use this plan. If the app knows of no income, housing or debt, Navi asks first — including the minimum you pay on debt, so a card balance and a blank app still get a plan that pays it. The Budget tab, read by group. Protected, Everyday and Future have their own colour, and one bar shows how the month splits between them. A bill sits under its category only in the months it lands — a yearly subscription in February, not every month — and says what it costs that month and how often it comes. Tap the line to check or fix it. A calmer end of month. When the next payday is in the next month, the home card stops counting next month's rent against this month's leftover. It shows what's left for the rest of this month, then says what's due before the new income and whether the cash in your accounts covers it. Red is only for a real shortfall. Import, three doors. Import has its own page: a file from your bank (CSV, OFX or QFX — one picker tells them apart), pasted rows, or a receipt, screenshot or statement PDF read on your phone or by Navi. The review that follows counts what needs a look and imports only the rows you've checked; "Looks right" clears the rest. Longer statements read in one go. A heads-up before the month turns. In the last week of a month the Plan tab asks whether anything is coming up that isn't in your plan yet — tires, registration, Halloween, the furnace visit — starting with what ran over in the same month last year. Pick what applies, type an amount, and it becomes a one-off on that month alone, named under the category and gone the month after. Long-press to take it back out. Pay later, plainly. Quiet Reality's chart names each plan's cadence, so an every-two-weeks plan reads as the two payments a month it is.
